I'm sitting here in Vancouver BC. I have been a JB fan since 1975 when I lived in Ireland, my birth country, just before I relocated to Canada. I find it hard to believe I am listening to what he put down in California yesterday! If the pandemic has had any positives it's been the ability to see this kind of living room, immediate, performance from the great artists like JB who have chosen to share it.

The older I get (70), his lyrics are so incredibly eloquent and his song structure so fine. As an old retired fart I've been playing the piano a lot and his songs are just a joy to play. It's a shame current "artists" don't have much to say.

From my heart - thank you Jackson. This beautiful piece of your magic was the soothing, solemn poem that I needed to hear tonight as my dear mother-in-law currently lays in hospice. She is in her final days, awaiting the promise of freedom from her disease and escaping the fruitless bonds of this world. Your lyrics touched me, gave me some much needed peace, and made me cry. The message is especially timely, striking, and meaningful to me because she has always been about opening up doors and never building walls. Her legacy will continue to be reflected through the lessons she has taught her children - kindness, love, and giving back to others more than you would take. I've been a avid fan of your stunning prose and melodic art for 40+ years. With humble gratitude, thank you once again.

I'm sorry for your situation. Another song that might be helpful for this moment is Box of Rain by the Grateful Dead, written by Phil Lesh while in a similar time with his father. Nobody surpasses Jackson Browne's soulful voice and sound though.

There have been very few musicians that have made me both smile and laugh with joy as well as cry at the same time like Jackson Brown does. Ever since "Doctor My Eyes" I have loved his music, and as he continued to sing always from a meaningful place, I grew up to appreciate that he was more than just a wonderful musical artist, but also a poet who reaches his listeners on a deep and moving level.

Can’t find anywhere else to say this but I just finished listening to the new album released today, July 23, 2021. Gotta say - there’s a smile on my face. It’s a fine, fine beautiful day when there’s a new Jackson Brown album released. Lovely music… meaningful lyrics, a few chuckles, a few tears. So good to be still looking for something and to find Jackson is still looking for something as well. I’m looking forward to getting to know these songs, to live with them, to having them become part of my life. So many of the musicians who I grew up with aren’t recording anymore… Joan Baez. Joni Mitchell. But Jackson just released a new album. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.

I've loved JB since my high school days, 50 years ago. I recently started learning Spanish through song. That led me to a 2019 news story about Jackson Browne and Linda Ronstadt, who were in Mexico, where he played this song, Muros y Pueras by Carlos Varela. Nice to hear this lovely English translation by JB!
