I love it when he plays with a full band and they all are so together in the moment. But these times when he’s out there all alone, nowhere to hide, just Jackson Browne, his guitars and his life’s worth of music - that’s when it feels like we’re just sitting in someone’s living room, late at night, sharing our truth with all the pain and all the beauty.
This is the most talented, yet underrated man in history! You are a legend! I've seen you live, over a dozen times and never once, was disappointed. Love you, Jackson Browne💜 A true master of your craft! Thank you, for all the great memories, songs, heart and soul!
Jackson was way beyond the times, much like John Lennon. I've listened to Jackson Browne music since I knew what music was. He wrote These Days when he was 16 years old!!! And to have it played at his great friend Greg Allman's funeral is beyond words.
When somebody asks me what kind of music I like the best, the first thing I think of is "Jackson Browne". Beginning with his first record, "Saturate Before Using", which I bought new when it was first released in the early 1970's. I had most of first records after that, and thanks to youtube (world's greatest jukebox) I can listen to everything he ever recorded, and watch many of his performances. Wish I'd seen him live at least once! Jackson's music is like going to church...it IS going to church!
sounds so good. Almost 10 years ago now. I've seen him live once, i'm not a big concert goer, but it was such an awesome unforgettable concert, Running on Empty tour Sept 19, 1977 Universal Amphitheater , David Lindley, great sound and great set list, lots of songs from all previous albums, i still have the T shirt. it has the picture from the first album, his face with the words Los Angeles, California under it. It doesn't say Saturate Before Using but it's the color of the album. The tee shirt has a label printed on the lower right front that says proceeds from the shirt go to a non-nuclear future. Jackson is 6 months older than me. my birthday will be in April. His songs have been a big part of the sound track of my life.
I thought I heard every song you ever played. What a beauty. TY. My heart is full of your creations. Great job. Never seen you play a slide in my 65 yrs. Where was I? Shame on me I let this one get by me. ❤️
After what almost 50 years, it finally dawned on me that For Everyman is Jackson's greatest album, and among a handful of greatest by anybody in the 1970s. The album hangs together; each song builds on the previous. (Except he took a break to do the great Red Neck Friend). First time Lindley played with him, and he knocked it out of the park, too. Also star-studded backing by all the Laurel Canyon great singers. Classic.
There’s a great new interview of Jackson by Alec Baldwin on Alec's "Here’s the Thing" podcast. Jackson told lots of personal history that I’d never heard before.
@@JM-wd7uv What is my Favorit??? Each one of JB! I got myselve a turntable again ... to put all my old Records from Jackson back to live.... Love from Hamburg Germany 💞🤝
