I am so sorry for your loss. I'm caring for a feral colony, and I worry so much about something happening to them. One of them was already lost. Two of them are indoor-outdoor cats now. I hope I can make them fully indoor. They deserve the best life, just like yours had.

@@HououMinamino I adopted a big orange meatball that hung out in our little rural bit of desert. We'd see him on our porch a lot so I knew he was friendly. We put a bed out for him in the winter and started feeding him, and eventually just took him to the vet for his shots and everything. He'd been outside for several years at that point though, so we haven't been able to transition him to fully indoors as much as we'd like to. He's happy enough to be inside most of the time in the winter, but summertime means he gets stir-crazy and won't let us sleep past 5am cause he wants to be let out.
