2 players isn't nearly enough. That's why I love baseball ! It truly takes a team effort. Hardest thing to do in sports is hit a baseball. A round bat on a round ball! When u can fail 70% of the time and still be considered good you know that it's not easy
@@GriseldaBSF410 I would say that's subjective and generally bias saying from fans of baseball as scoring goals in hockey is just as hard to do physically ans statistically. Percentage wise in the nhl good goal scorer score at avg rate of 14 percent, the best of the best usually scores around 18 percent. So yeah very low success rate as well. As amateurs I believe some of the hardest thing to jump in and do against a pro in no particular order is scoring goals, hitting a baseball, landing punch in boxing and returning a serve.
Number one pick! Great to see another Holliday in baseball. Matt was one of my favorite players during his playing days and will be a fine mentor to his son. Congrats and good luck to the both of you.
I know EXACTLY what he means about watching his 3 year olds swing 😆 I played in college and when I would get in a slump you start thinking about all the things you need to be or aren’t doing at the plate. I remember wishing I could go back to not even thinking about it just like as a kid
As a fan of Matt when he was with the Cards I hope his kid has a terrific career also. We all fans of the game at the end of the day! Can't wait to watch Jackson play.
I am grateful for Matt Holliday for showing everyone how the game can be played, on and off the field. I am grateful for what he has done for baseball. He always did the right thing. It makes me happy to know he had a big following after he left St Louis with the Yankees, and I'm humbled that he decided to support his family by going back home instead of warming a bench for the Cardinals. I would have loved him in St Louis, but I wouldn't have loved him missing his family, and not being there when it was most important. Just more signs of how great Matt and his family are. Thank you for all you do. AMEN
Followed Matt with my hometown Asheville tourists NC got all the autographs I could get even with Todd Helton and Eric young jr. eras MATT was the man there and took the time for the fans too!
Best of luck to him. Hope we get to here his name called in The Show. Great personality on this kid but can you expect anything else from him with the Father he has. And that damn swing is perfect. I was freeze framing the at bats. Try and find a flaw. You really can’t. Nit pick, of course you can but this boy is the real deal. 🙏
Jackson Holiday will be the starting shortstop for the orioles next year. The infield will be young with Gunner at 3b and Jordan at 2b and Adley at catcher. And Cory Mayo on the with at 1b on the way. The drafted players are ready to play with the veterans. But Jackson will complete the rebuild 😊Let's go Os 😊
If I was him i would stay at OSU your dads already rich and OSU is a great school and your in better facilities plus you get a college experience. However if you don’t like school and maybe he wants to make his own money.
No way he’s the best player in all of high school and college at 18 yr old. So what he hit well in high school. Do the same in the SEC or ACC then you may have merit when hitting against the best pitchers in the country.
i agree.. you mean to tell me he has a higher ceiling from playing high school ball as opposed to a college player who has just finished his junior or senior season at a higher level of play. there is no way
I’d go to college, enjoy that young college poonany that’s just slapping him in the face left and right. It’s not like he’s hurting for money the family has money so why not.
Definitely could be the case, but name calling an eighteen year old kid who has achieved some amazing things himself is an interesting choice. Best of luck to both of them, as it couldn't have been easy to have Dads who played in the majors.
Druw is Better, but Jackson is just as good but w/o the attitude ‼️🤦🤦♀️🤦♂️🤷♂️🤷 He's more Mature, which shows itself the most in baseball, He'll get to the show in a year or 2
@@stephonlamar1815 Druw is a good kid also. The kid has a great attitude and is very mature beyond his years. I watched him play a few times his HS is right down the road from me.
@@atlrts do you think Druw would hold his own against very good college players like he did against high school players? i dont know if he would because playing college baseball in the ACC or SEC or any conference is a lot different than player high school ball. what do you think?
@@darrellhenderson8694 I think Drew would excel at any level. And I think he will excel in the minors and become a solid MLB player. I also think the same about Jackson Holliday.
This goes to show you don’t have to be good just know the right people! This is such BS. I see so many great players not get the recognition! This kid would be D3 if his dad didn’t play pro ball. I am not knocking him at all. Just need some truth out here for some great player being over looked!
You’ll be really ticked off when you find out he has a younger brother that is probably going to be drafted pretty high too., but seriously you either make it or you don’t. It doesn’t matter who you know you’re not going to get to that level just because your dad was a decent player at one time
