Killa Kev: I'm also a huge fan of your videos and that's why I'm always anxious for your materials. Hope next time I'll be visiting USA I'll try to visit Jackson and meet you guys to congratulate you in person. You're doing a great job!
Well I wasn't in the band nor a jsette but I can tell you they practice at least 11hours most days so marching around campus and various streets around campus will tone anyone up.
Lets not forget Chloe! She opened the door for Ketta and now she's serving as the sponsor! In my opinion, she broke the 'tradition' from the previous year Captians, ESPECIALLY during the CCC '08 game. And lets not forget that NASTY Bad Girl Routine!!! Oooh wee!
It's amazing how inspiring you are!! I'm the biggest fan of JSU Band and Prancing J-Settes outside the United States, you can be sure!! I dream that one day we will have something like you here in Brazil!! Congratulations!!
Let's not play, this front four is super! Let's not forget that Kayla with all that wonderful tradition, leadership, and experience that came before her with the other pass captains made her raise her level to G.O.A.T status. She had no choice. frfr!!!!
Rob Whoot He was too traditional drum major for my liking. Gavin has brought back the JSU Drum Major tradition in a new way. Hats off to both. I’m partial to Clincy.
This looked like such fun that I'm sincerely thinking about doing an online JSU program just so I can claim the school as my alma mater and attend homecoming. I'm serious. LOL! - signed All the Way from California.
Yesssss, Family...Abe, Quincy, Alumni...It so beautiful to be able to come back and do it one more time. Saw a lot of familiar faces. Been waiting on this, y’all look good JSTATE.....SWING EM..💕
Amongst the many things of how this exudes HBCU Excellence, is that the current squad gets to dance and play alongside those that came before them. I know KG and the current squad as well as the band was loving this.
My favorite captain Charlotte ain’t missed a beat!!!!! Y’all can’t tell me Dom wasn’t tipsy!!!! Baby it’s homecoming though, get it Dom!!! Mo looked great! Everything was Everything!!!
OMG is that my favorite JSette captain from 2017 with the ponytail....I don't know her name but she was my favorite captain and the drum major from 2017....they were the best thus far in my opinion!
i love it and I seen a Prince Hall Grand Lodge that made me even prouder to be a Prince Hall Affiliated Free&Accepted Mason jurisdiction of Chattanooga TN
This was awesome! Alumni Marching Chief here (FSU) Love you vid's KKP, keep it up. Most importantly...I love to see that your tradition lives on! That's important pass down to younger classes guys...the smiles are beautiful!
waterand headphones The 50th isn’t until 2021. The band received the name “Sonic Boom of the South” and majorettes became the Prancing Jaycettes in 1971.
Is that Leroy that used to twirl in the 90s? I see they brought the overhanging trumpet players back as well...lol. I'm just kidding. At least they were hitting the notes. This was exciting to watch
This you say is no lie!! Glad to see him there because I haven't seen or heard about any responses from him possibly entertaining being involved with the band in any capacity. It will be a absolute shame if he doesn't
WAIT!!! Is that G.O.A.T Abraham with the drum majors with the gold shirt? Say it ain't so... if so he needs to be involved with the JSU band program in front of the seen and not behind the seen in some way. Your help and guidance is greatly needed with the drum majors and the entire band.. PLEASEeeeeeee!!!!!!
Even if you can't see ADuffie's face, you know its him by form. His moves always look precise and on point. @6:31 He definitely brought the look of professionalism to the position of head DM.
Hand signals or other drum majors pass the word back and it passed all the way back to the rear of the band. Sometimes there's just a parade rotation and you just know what the next song is because of practicing the rotation so often.
Southern and JSU are my favorite bands. They are on point, discipline and sound like and actual college band and not a high school band. I have watched others as well but these two bands stand out to me the most.
