Jackson State football dominated the MEAC/SWAC Challenge and head coach TC Taylor's message to those questioning if the Tigers would still be on top was "They know now". #hbcugameday #hbcu #hbcufootball #swac #jacksonstate
HBCU’s should also play other FCS teams and participate in the playoffs because as of now the consensus is the both the swac and meac’s know as “less talented” also by doing so they could change the narrative.
You got a point Quincy ,but why worry about the outside Narrative and proving a point to FCS media when it don’t make sense financially. The big time schools are all about money they not tryna prove nothing they tryna get a check. For instance, Mercer (ranked #17) played North AL Saturday. Only 5500 people were there. At the SWAC/MEAC challenge there was over 24k there and over 1Mil watching but neither team was ranked…….I think the product does need to elevate but not to change the narrative. The product needs to elevate so these TV networks and Billion dollar companies see D1 HBCU football has a valuable commodity outside of P5 football.
Look at it like this People say Gervonta Davis is not a top 3 fighter in his division and he needs to fight the top fighters to change the narrative and prove himself. But he is 2nd highest paid fighter in the world and one of the most popular. Idk about you but I rather be the highest paid versus trying my hardest to prove a point to people that don’t care anyway.
@@onlydonsfilmz7933 agree with all the narrative stuff but the Swac/Meac compared had a bigger advantage with it being on ABC primetime alone with no other live televised sports other than HS football against Mercer/UNA on cable the same time around Notre Dame Navy on NBC
@@LTWatchParty-qo5co you’re right the SWAC/MEAC challenge did have an advantage but the reason that advantage was given to them is because networks see the potential of the HBCU level versus other FCS competitors like (Mercer Vs. N Alabama)…..For instance, Mercer vs UNA attendance was 5500 right, Tuskegee Vs. Fort Valley St had over 16k people. William & Mary (#3 in the nation) Vs. Campbell (#1 recruiting class in FCS) only had a lil over 4k people there
