False ! The court is required to give him an affordable bond. With no income there's no way he can afford 4 million dollars. This is unconstitutional ( but so is murder ) ( innocent until proven guilty ) His lawyer is establishing indigence, in hopes of getting the bond reduced. However in a murder case, lowering the bond amount is unlikely.

A little off topic, but I’ll never understand why we don’t do more to teach kids about banking in HS? How to balance a checkbook, save money, etc.., the kind of stuff EVERYONE needs to know.
