Hi guys nice going, very neat indeed, too bad it has a cylinder miss firering, otherwise could of been an Impressive engine sound, in any event my most expressive thanks to each and everyone that one way or another collaborated to bring this outstanding and impecable working of engineering to us to enjoy, from endless summer paradise Puerto Rico, Jesús Torres.
Yeah these old engines also can play techno music :) or be very mad :) ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-q_0xifuTqVA.html ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-AG1MnXkHhlM.html
I'm wondering if anyone else would love to see these big FM two strokes chugging away at max output all day long providing electrical power for the entire show. I know I would! One thing to see, feel, hear them thumping over like this, but another thing entirely to behold their full wrath...
Owen Geisel This particular engine has a hit'n miss style governor so that it will typically appear to have a favorite cylinder. A hit'n miss style governor disables the engine when the flywheel excedes the set speed. This prevents the cylinder from firing. Because the drag on the flywheel is very stable, it tends to be the same cylinder that fires everytime. When a load is applied on the engine the flywheel slows faster so cylinders will fire more often, if not constantly.
jazko I don't know, i bet there should be a water tank or something. This one only runs a few mnites before they shut it down, maybe it has no cooling system...
During its working years, it would be connected to a circulating water system. In preservation it might very well run dry block- it is so massive that it would take quite a while to get hot anyway so they can run it a couple minutes without hurting it.
