You are right! No one in Asia is in a position to question the spoken English of Jacky. He never had any formal college education nor has he studied in the West. He is one of the best communicators in English language among the "locally educated" HK artists. In fact, I find his accent and diction very good already...so spontaneous! @myacnt8999 His english is far better than i expected. Its quite decent. I dont know why people criticise his english. I mean, do they really expect him to speak 100% english like he was raised abroad? People should stop being so arrogant.
Most Hong Kong movies were dubbed back in the 1980's. Andy did his own voiceover, post production. Jacky had a professional voiceover actor doing his dialogue on screen for "As Tears Go By".
@hwong0309 Tony Leung speaks much better English than Jacky. He hasn't been educated abroad either. I like Jacky and his cute accent. But don't talk down about others please.
Tony is A actor, his movies always participate in many countries' movies competition. He has chances to contact or accept interviews with English speaking peoples. More practise can improve one's English. Jacky is A singer, he foucus his singing business in HK & China. For my point of view he's speaking English good compare with Japanese & Korea artists.
