You nailed Jacob’s attributes. He is harmonies. As a member of JC’s crew in the US, I heard Jacob 4 days a week, but this performance stopped me dead in my tracks. I did not move a muscle for the entire performance (other to than wipe the occasional tear). It was a moment I’ll forever be grateful for witnessing live and will treasure forever.

To answer your question at the beginning: Jacob is a singer, songwriter, arranger, multi-instrumentalist, composer, editor, teacher, instrument inventor with... I forget how many Grammy's but at least 6 lol

You should definitely look into Jacob and react to more of his work. I can give many suggestions, but I'd start with the official version of this performance, on his album Djesse Vol. 4

The original recording of this began with Yebba in her phone which Jacob harmonized by taking that short segment with his multi-tracked background vocals. Due to popular demand, 2 years later he added John Legend and Tori Kelly to complete verses 2 and 3. Since he can't do live overdubs of his own voice he uses his harmonizer keyboard invented for him at MIT when he was teaching a master class there. He plays 20+ instruments, has large and incredibly precise vocal range and his first recordings were just him multi-tracked on Logic X software. Now he plays with his band and sometimes a full symphony or choir as when I first saw him at the Kennedy Center. He also does a great version of "Don't You Know" with Snarky Puppy, another band to look at. He's won 6 Grammys and teaches music theory and using Logic X online. . He's rightly been called the Mozart of Gen Z, in part for his incredibly complex jazz harmonies sometimes using tuning changes and microtonality.
