The long 'Aah' after the break (3:18) reminds me of the 'Oh' in 'You've got the best of my love', by The Emotions. In fact, the whole song reminds me of it! (Gracie Lawrence has something of the gravelly voice of Sheila Hutchinson, perhaps?).... Apart from the quintuplets and microtones, but, hey, it's Jacob Collier....

5:42 Bittersweet is the perfect way to describe this! The love shared was worth it but not having that anymore hurts. This seems to be a through line for this album “you’re with me wherever I go” in one way or another, as a subset of the larger theme of capturing and uniting the human experience.

This song has grown on me so much, and its the reason that I now listen to Lawrence. I love that Jacob is loose in the music industry and fishing around in it like a big toy box. Other artists are just more instruments to put in the music Some other artist: this song could use a touch of horns here Jacob: how about a touch of Michael McDonald?

JC is a great artist. His voice however is not commercial enough. He is a composer/arranger extraordinaire. He will eventually become a composer akin to Hanz Zimmer who also started off as a slightly out of place pop star in the Buggles
