I love the tempo changes in this, especially since each is just a metric modulation of that fundamental 123 bpm. The easiest one to feel is the 3:4 drop to 92.25 in the end, but equally neat is the drop into septuplet groove at 73.75, which essentially carries a *3:5*. It's a lot more difficult to feel but a really cool setup, especially considering the septuplet swing introduces almost a 21:5 polyrhythm against the original pace of the song. Very strange and jarring, but I honestly think that's the point. Absurdly off-kilter rhythms simply for absurdity's sake and nothing else, you know? At any rate, awesome work dude, and great ears as always! :)

Not sure if you'll see this but I'm super confused about the notation at m26 - where do you get a 7/4 feel? It sounds like a staggered 5 feel to me - something like 7/16 (4 + 3) then 11/16 (4 + 4 + 3). I'm always blown away by the note accuracy in your transcriptions, but sometimes I can't follow your thought process with rhythm! I don't doubt it's correct, but I think you could make it a little easier on yourself with a little more conventional notation. Thanks for your great work as always!!

I made the decision to exclude some of the details in this recording, because I thought keeping only the skeleton, as opposed to a neurotic perfectionism, would facilitate a more informative experience for the viewers. In my opinion, this is not so much an (heavily composed) arrangement like Fascinating Rhythm or Georgia On My Mind, where every note and sound carries weight. This is more of a song with different sections and feels.
