Give Jacob Rees-Mogg a more “common” accent and people will quickly realise what utter tosh he spouts. People are too easily fooled by a posh accent into thinking that the person behind it must be an intellectual.
@@samdavies6325 Sadly I think we probably do. In fairness, a person with a posh accent probably received an education that us plebs can only dream of, so an intelligent person with a posh accent had every opportunity to maximise their potential. The you get JRM. He no doubt maximised his potential academically... and this is the best he could do.
@@clivecosta-correa2102 He didn't lie to or advise Queen Elizabeth. He explained on Chris Hopper's show that as privy councillor at the time he informs the monarch what parliament has decided and she says approved. There is no debate or conference.
@@ralalbatross Johnson was the Prime Minister. He informed the monarch of his decision through the Privy Councillor. If you have watched the Hooper Mogg interview it is clear that the protocol was deemed at the time according to the legal advice available to be correct. This was later over ruled by a court. I was replying to the original accusation of lying which was not the case.
That's why that particular anachronism needs to be done away with. Titles are spittle in the faces of the general population. It is a mark of being the common man's 'bettor.' To talk democracy while keeping this nonsense alive is ridiculous.
That’s why if Starmer has abolishing it in his GE Manifesto, and replacing it with an elected second house of lay people as he claims, I’m voting for Labour
Nick Ferraris gives two main guests loads of air time on this subject and they are …. Jacob Rees Mogg and Guto Harri, both Boris Johnson head banging supporters. This is not journalism, this is ridiculous one sided bs but expect nothing less from Tory boy Ferrari
When will Moggin's stop hiding from James O'brien still. I know the victorian undertaker is too scared after the total embarrassment it was last time. But I think if he is going to l ie this freely, he should be against someone who challenges him.
What’s the point of even bringing these types of politicians on for interviews. Completely forgotten the idea of making the world a better place, instead defending liars, in it for their own benefit and seeing what they can get away with. These people are the reason that our country is in the state it’s in.
It’s Ferrari’s stock in trade: deriding guests with whose points he disagrees and inviting on those whose points with which he does agree. Objectivity isn’t a strong point.
@@DelosFive exactly imagine if it was Jermy Corbyn. Don’t be fooled by the posh accent and expensive suit. He has done more damage to this country than any hard lefty in the Labour camp.
@@DelosFive I took it that he was searching for the source of the findings made by the committee which drew up the punishment Johnson would receive had he remained as an MP.
This guy is a total tw** like the other total tw** that recommended him for a knighthood. This country has gone totally insane, I can’t wait to get away from here.
I find JRM fascinating I've never seen someone so St upid with this much confidence he just blunders into disproving himself, he lacks an ounce of self reflection. He is prime example of us not living in a meritocracy.
I encourage you to check the family tree of the Tories. You'll find that almost all frontbenchers come from very very rich families (British, or foreign).
A 30,000-word, 106-page report produced by a mainly conservative panel, containing 5 different categories of contepmed and who knows how many incidances of each. Ah yes, but let's talk about the one bad thing the chair once said. He is like a real-world Monty Python character.
This should be the end of discussions about what happened, and it should be over interviewing people who are trying to disserve the truths written up in that report. Especially "Lord" Jakob..
Eton College should be held responsible for a biased educational system which seems to produce students with little technical ability who have a curious belief that they know better than broadly educated people, including acknowledged experts in several fields.
Harriet Harmann did NOT vote, ffs!! The chair only votes in the event of a tied vote by members. There was no tie, so she didn't vote. Moreover, the report says who voted at the end. Her name is NOT mentioned.
The fact that it took mogg a few sentences to l ie, shows the kind of person he is. People did recuse themselves it was a majority of Tory MP's and all she said was that the crimes Johnson committed were wrong, she did not say anything about him personally. So unless Moggins thinks judges should recuse themselves if they think the crime being discussed is wrong. He should pipe down.
The fact is that Johnson wasn't found guilty of partying, he was found guilty of lying to parliament, which is contempt of parliament, just as Rees Smug defamed the committee set up by parliament. these people just can't stop being complete C*NTS.
"British sense of fair play..." ??? Johnson has committed so many wrong doings, for so long, and not had anything stick to him, it should be well within the grasp of any voting member of the British public to UNDERSTAND and ACCEPT he did all of them, including the contents of this report, which for every criticism we see and hear, cannot be denied.
That's not incredible, what is, is the fact nobody has noticed what the "media" is !?! Mates of the guilty clowns in account, its crowd control to let each other off of their duties and the HOOK.
It's painful to listen to JRM's shifting responsibilities and downplaying the role he and his party has been and still is playing in the abominable mess the UK has to cope with and will have for a long time to come.
nick ferrari: 'my lord, please may I lick your boots....pleeease.' also: Mad Nads 'if I don't get my honour, I'll resign!' everyone else: 'go on then!' Mad Nads: 'errr...actually, can I think on that' 🤣🤣🤣
More reflects on Nick Ferrari, than Jacob Rees-Mogg, that he constantly calls him, Sir Jacob, he doesn’t question his answers, and all in all, doesn’t reflect well on LBC
Why does he and others think Harriet Harmon as chair of the committee is a major fault? The committee had 4 tories on it who reached this conclusion that johnson misled the house and deserves a 90 day suspension.I doubt they'd accept the verdict even if the committee were all tory including the chair.
Wasn’t the whole point of this investigation to find out whether Boris intentionally lied to parliament? Now we know he did, I’d say that’s a pretty big deal.
Boris lied, then he acted like a stroppy child when he got caught. And you expect an honest response from another liar who is going to be put in THE HOUSE OF LORDS FOR LIFE by Boris. Hmmmmmmmm, not expecting a balanced opinion here
Oh what a surprise the media and in particular Nick Ferrari once again giving these disgusting shameful liars even more airtime. It looks like things like honesty, integrity, humility and accountability no longer matter in public life.
He keeps going on about the members of the committee - they were approved by a majority Tory government when Johnson was prime minister! Two of them are also his arch Brexiteers!
I think the best description of JRM came from Helena Kennedy, the Glaswegian Peer and eminent lawyer, “A spoilt brat!” Clearly BloJo knew how to buy your support did he not SIR Jacob? As he explains he is entitled.
You will miss Boris. He brought a bit of subtle comedy to politics, by naming JRM as Minister for Brexit Opportunities and recently nominating his hairdresser for on Honour. And what about him getting out of the chauffeur driven Range Rover, around the corner, and jogging the last 30yards to his house, pretending that he had run a couple of miles.😂
To be fair, i totally changed my mind on boris when the haunted pencil started bringing out precedents set in 1790. I thought that was the most powerful argument that could have explained a) why he partied b) why he lied c) why he didnt correct the record d) why he criticised the comittee and e) why he didnt fight the by-election.
Jacob RM is one of these bores that says "This is the reality" when it is everything but . The reality is that Boris supporters lie freely evert day and think it is OK .
JRM as usual talking bs. The committee *did* suspend him for less time initially, but for longer than 10 days. BoZo was so triggered that he went off the deep end, started ranting and *then* they changed the suspension to 90 days.
Nothing much to do with British politics. More to do with propaganda against Europe led by the popular press since the ‘70s and of course the financial, personal desires of our leaders of both main parties at the moment.
JRM blaming problems on EU since 1990's reminds me of ANC politicians in South Africa blaming the state of the country on Apartheid 30 years later. The blame is never their own incompetence and corruption
But it is true - joining the EU has damaged this country in SO many ways but if you were born late 1980s -1990s onwards perhaps you aren't able to see that.
@@lesleywild8706 It doesn't matter when you were born. It is clear to see that Apartheid did damage to South Africa, but it's also clear to me that the ANC is doing more of the same, even worse, they hide their own incompetence behind 'apartheid'. My question is, if the people chose you as a leader, and the best you can do as a leader is moan about how their previous leaders failed, are you of any use? The state of the UK is worse because of Boris and his tori fanboys. Now, all these EU laws that the tories claim was the problem, they now have full rights to abandoned them. Why then is the UK worse off?
My take is that the report is SO harsh because of his breaking of confidence and revealing information given in confidence - had he kept his mouth shut on Friday he would probably have been banned for 10 days
Why oh Why is this self-serving luddite given the light of day - Every time he opens his mouth and draws on completely irrelevant, antiquated precedents it makes my blood boil. On balance there was contempt of Parliament ... It's a binary decision not some nuanced discussion. The british sense of fair play says ... He is guilty, is a liar and needs to be removed from ever holding public office again.
JRM is hoping people have not read the privileges committee report. It's quite hard to find any issue with the evidence or conclusions made in it. The conclusions were merely a evidenced confirmation of peoples intuition.
Ferrari "grilling" the Tories is like Saville leading an investigation on pedos. Mogg speaking on honesty, integrity and the morally correct is like Saville talking on childcare.
JRM says things in an ultra posh voice and thinks because of this he is believed. He is not clever, don't believe that for one minute. The sooner he is kicked out of Parliament the better. Why he is now a "Sir" is a joke BUT he clinged to Johnson's coat tails to get just this, that's all Mogg wanted, he wants to be a "Sir", so Nanny can be proud of him.
I have heard Rees Mogg on TV last night and I find it bizarre Tory Nick thinks this what his listeners want the morning after. Regurgitating this deceptive rhetoric isn’t helpful.
I dare mogg to go on a proper show with a proper journalist. Ferrari is nothing less than a Tory propagandist. If he feels so strongly about what has happened to the liar Johnson I suggest he resigns as mp and refuses the honours.
