Rees-Mogg has always struck me as one of those people who have somehow avoided being repeatedly punched hard in the face his entire life. God knows how he's managed that
That’s because they are all as wet as a soaked sponge. Like the bloke in the grey suite shouting sit up straight. You can literally see him wiping his mouth from the amount of water dripping of him
What makes me sick is these people take it as a joke. There are people really suffering in the UK because of their decisions and this is how they behave.

He's a complete disgrace, and epitomises the attitude the Tories have for all of us. He is a physical manifestation of 'contempt'. In fact, the Oxford English Dictionary should list 'Jacob Rees-Mogg' as the definition for the word.
There are two types of person. The wise man who knows he knows nothing and acts accordingly, and the fool who thinks he knows everything and reacts accordingly.
@@ericcartman3834 Well, I do understand if one is bored by the fruitless and useless efforts of the remainers to work against the people´s will, who decided to leave years ago and want to see results. So if JRM would yawn or laugh at a speach or make some comment I didn´t see any reason to complain. But in this case his behaviour seems purly contemptous towards one of the finest institions of european (!) history. This is a place of different opinions per se. The place for discussions of different standpoints in a meaningful and respectful manner. There is no democracy on earth today which didn´t learn this from THIS Parliament. And I am sure, JRM himself has a sense that he misbehaved there. He is quite more of a Gentleman than showed this day, at least he does a lot to give this impression. It´s a sad thing though, that most of his supporters don´t manage to citizice this behaviour. He acted like a 14 year old schoolboy - nobody is perfect. And this is coming from a german, pro-European who absolutly does respect Brexit, because I always had the feeling GB does not really want to be part of the EU.

You clearly have never watch parliament. Would you even vote for your MPs when you find out they don't show up for debates? If you watched parliament you would know that he likes to be comfy as he should.

And one that actually turns up to the house of commons and stays there for debates. He's one of the very few MPs that do this. His way of making himself comfy of sitting for hours on end in the house is why he lies down. The majority are in and out all the time. So being relaxed doesn't bother them they aren't in for the same amount of hours. And he wasn't the first MP to be like this many did it in the past. Being comfy while debating. When you process the information in the debate, you want to focus on that not on how uncomfy seating is.

Most children know that, in a formal setting e.g. school/in a group of grown ups you shouldn't lie down like that. Soooo he has less social awareness and manners than a child.
I'm from South Africa, our politicians straight up take a nap in Parliament. It's actually scary knowing these people are running the country and this is the behaviour they displaying for the world to see.
@@samwell2386 Why are you not? Look, I didn't vote either way. There are benefits and consequences of Britain exiting the EU. As the Tories are so fond of saying- "More people voted to leave than voted to remain" in a referendum that spanned the whole country. If people were too lazy or overconfident in the result (and they shouldn't be because as Winston Churchill said, "The best argument against Democracy is a five minute chat with the average voter.") then it is their own fault that things didn't go as they desired and despite this unpopular opinion; I agree with the government to not call a second referendum. Actions ought to lave consequences and so should inaction. Therefore, Mogg- whether you like him or no- is defending a democratic vote. Inaction on the voters part led us here and the consequences are becoming increasingly more apparent.
How to divide a nation. Call all left leaning people crazy, call all right leaning people racist. Blanket terms for large swaths of people. See the other side as the enemy, then disrespect and de-humanize. Humans are wonderful creatures. Will be divided and at each other’s throats forever.

Why do you expect more of adults anyway? when consistently MANY of them have shown they don't do better? the reputation of having manners needs to cease to be squarely in one age group which often shows such a lack of them.

Boris has sat for months claiming they would do this and do that when he doesn’t even know, saying they failed to do this or that when Labour have not been in power for years and years, it’s time for a change of government and I don’t care who but the conservatives are certainly not staying in power anymore. They have ruined the uk. I stay in Scotland so when snp have there vote for independence and it gets done it won’t matter to me really. But right now a new party is needed to sort out the mess the power hungry conservatives have done.

His job was secured before he was even born. JRM embodies the worst, longest lasting problem in British society: classism. They've been trying for decades to deflect our attention from that, by trying to make us focus on sex, gender, race etc and divide us along those lines, then someone like JRB only has to show up and be himself and he makes it obvious what the real division lines in society are.
As someone who attended private school, I find it incredible that a man who attended eaton and oxbridge thinks that this behaviour is in any way acceptable, in any scenario. I wonder if he would be looking so relaxed if they were discussing his expenses.
He's treating the House of Commons in this as if it's an episode of a reality show like the Keeping Up with the Kardashians where everyone is mad at a certain member and he's just sitting on his couch eating some popcorn watching it all go down. I can't quite blame him for that
