Darci Wolter---ROFL--Jackie wouldn't have given you or any of the rest of the hoi polloi the time of day. As to her voice, read a few biographies on her--that little-girl voice was an affectation.
Thank You Caroline and John Jr, for sharing these messages from your beautiful mother that clearly are so intimate, tender and even somewhat painful. REMEMBER THE GOOD TIMES! With tear-filled eyes I hope for you all a joyous Reunion! You both ... and your families, a wonderful joyous REUNION! And may the futuRe be bRighteR for America as well! I BELIEVE...
Her soft spoken Wisperd voice is just so Peaceful and yet so full of infinite sadness. I couldn't help but close my eyes when she spoke. Made me feel at ease and filled my heart with her grief. You will always be remembered and now you can now rest With your beloved husband.
Jacqueline was an infamous golddigger! She only married Ari Onassis for his " big" money in 1968! She got a 20 Million Settlement from Christina Onassis in 1975! Teddy Kennedy and top NYC Attorneys fought Christina for the " big" Settlement!
Fatima Shamsher--Really? Not Martha Washington, who established the general parameters of being FLOTUS? Not Dolly Madison? Not Eleanor Roosevelt? Or quite a few others???
@@jgabis2008 Your a sad creature in need of prayer. Our First Lady Melania Trump is doing a great job with courage, dignity and grace. You are a misogynist, your poor mother is in my prayers as well.
Chris Mc Evoy--Don't be absurd. You're parroting the media hype. Jackie O was a scheming social climber whose father-in-law owned the media and whose family, still, today, have their hooks into not just politics, but the media, Hollywood, and the publication houses. We are yearly inundated with books that make this family look like a roster of Catholic saints. They are nothing like. They are ruthless, saturated with hubris, entitled, scheming, and elitist. Ted Kennedy cheated at Harvard and is the cause of Kopechne's death. RFK was an attack chihuahua who cheated on Ethel with Marilyn and countless others--including Jackie!!. Jackie slept with anyone who'd give her money--including RFK who, after JFK's death, managed the family money. In 1963, Jackie received $250,000 per year to live on--and it wasn't enough for her. The media fed us the "poor David Kennedy" (RFK's son) who became a drug addict by saying it was caused by watching his father's assassination over and over on TV--forgetting that this was the height of the Viet Nam conlict and thousands of young children got to see their military fathers blown to bits on the nightly news. Then there's the Kennedy grandchild who beat to death someone with a golf club. None of them are worth the spittle it takes to pronounce their names.
@Jim Dandy--Thank you for the kind words. I'm really, after the last 60 years, sick of the sycophancy paid to the Kennedys. That family is whitewashing Old Joe's bootlegging ties, the philandering of Old Joe and his sons, the murder and rape committed by "the Lion of the Senate"--Teddy boy), the latest iteration of Joe Kennedy's name and his ongoing attempt to annul --a Catholic annulment--his first marriage, Maria Shriver's political ambition on the back of The Terminator/Governator, etc. etc. etc.
@@onemercilessming1342 Yes, true. Also, the marriage to Prince Rainier was an arranged marriage. It is said she wanted to "make a bigger splash than a pair of oars". I doubt they loved each other and Grace was not that happy in Monaco and longed for her acting career. She really missed that life. Seems the men she had fallen in love with before her marriage were all married men, unfortunately. Maybe as they grew older Grace and Rainier grew to love each other ; not sure but they hardly knew each other in April 1956. Grace was a most beautiful bride along with Princess Margaret 1960.
Yes her voice is really soothing and soft, I think the reason in some ways it sounds like she is kinda slow is because she spoke un other languages that made her think faster with her words and talk slower, gives off this airy deep soft sound....she was cool inside and out how she had to cope with such difficult times in front of the public eye, ofcourse she would marry again and someone with even more money than the Kennedys, you think she going to marry a poor trash who don't work and live off her and still whore around also, people without money also do that to, even more. So hooray for "Jacqueline Bouvier Kennedy Onassis " WOW" what a cool ritzy name to she had. 🇺🇸💖🕶🛍💄💎⚘🥂🏛🗽💰💸🚬🦅👌💋
You all probably dont care at all but does anybody know a way to log back into an instagram account?? I was dumb forgot my password. I appreciate any help you can give me
I have always hated my voice, but I have the NY/Suffolk County accent and sound just like her. I get made fun off. Now, I don't feel so bad. She is so intelligent, graceful and beautiful. She really loved him.
I love Mrs.Kennedy. Which brings me to my reason for commenting, I am beyond tired of these people who keep saying things like "Jacqueline Kennedy talks/sounds like marilyn monroe". PLEASE! if anything it's marylin who sounded like Jackie, lets not forget marylin wanted, pursued, and eventually had Jackie's husband, and also let's not forget but it was marilyn who wanted to be Jackie in a since, she wanted Jack to leave Jackie and marry her so she could be First Lady, so let's just be sure we know who wanted to be like who.
LMAO. Get your facts straight. Marilyn Monroe was a national public figure since 1952 and she has always talked in public with that breathy voice until her untimely death in 1962. Jackie only started to emerge as a public figure AFTER Marilyn reached superstar status in the US (second half of the 50s). FYI, an affair between Marilyn and JFK was never proven. The only information we got on the alleged affair is mere speculation, therefore it is very unlikely that Marilyn wanted to replace Jackie. Marilyn was a star in her own right and did not need to be someone else's wife to accomplish something.
I like your comment .. however let’s get this straight that there are plenty of women out there who don’t give one shit about the next woman and will go after , gold dig and work a man into their bed like it’s the holy challenge of challenges. Women do not support each other or themselves the way they should and it’s a shame because there are many children suffering from the lack of self control - ON BOTH SIDES. If you don’t sleep with a married man he can’t cheat. And you should always know who you are sleeping with.
You are absolutely right! Maryland did want to be Jackie very badly! The misconception is she only slept with JFK once, and they both made it clear that it wasn't about much. She was actually in love with Bobby, and that's who she wanted to marry! She even called Jackie and told Jackie she would be the first lady when she married Bobby.
William Salters--ROFLMAO at you. Jackie was about to divorce Jack over his womanizing. She had negotiated a nice financial deal with Old Joe to stay married to Jack until after his second term of office. Do you REALLY think that Jackie's trauma was worse than that of Rose, who had already lost Rosemary to a botched lobotomy, Joe, Jr and Kathleen ("Kick") to plane crashes,, and now Jack (and, five years later, Robert) to an assassin's bullet? Do you REALLY believe that a disillusioned wife's pain is worse than that of the mother who bore and raised that man??
@@onemercilessming1342 Yes, Rose Kennedy's losses were so numerous and profound. It must be noted, however, that living with the reverberations of memory from being mere inches away from your husband as much of his head and brain disintegrates into a pink mist from an assassin's bullet, likely rendered Jacqueline Kennedy's bereavement with an added layer of traumatization. Her PTSD must have been utterly insurmountable as evidenced by the paranoia she possessed about safety for the rest of her life. Anyway, grief and sorrow are so uniquely manifesting, we cannot truly know or assume the magnitude of anyone's sorrows. I have learned from life that it is best to never underestimate another person's pain.
@@AvecPoesie Jackie Kennedy's "PTSD" was well insulated by her hauteur. Are you trying to sy that THEIR loss was much more intense than the loss of husbands/fathers during the Viet Nam conflict who watched that horror on the nightly news every night? The Kennedys are just one family--no better or worse than any others. They just THINK they're better than the rest of us. Be a toady if YOU want, but allow the rest of us the privilege of being able to THINK.
Jackie was a class act in my book who helped many charities and loved & protected he kids from the bullshit. How she could put up and overlook Jacks 200 or so cheating events are beyond me.
She loved him deeply and evidently they came to a tacit understanding. Sometime after he died, she told a close friend that without Jack as her husband, "my life would have been a wasteland and I would have known it every step of the way."
Her words the morning he announced he won the election were something like I am putting my foot down you can’t see other woman now, I won’t put up with it. Didn’t matter he was addicted to sex.
Jackie was very elegant and intelligent but there was another side she kept hidden behind the "Camelot" façade she so artfully created. There were numerous affairs on both sides during their marriage. Like his father, JFK was a notorious philanderer and Jackie certainly suffered her share of humiliation, but she had her share of affairs as well. Three of Jackie's lovers during the White House years were William Holden, Gianni Agnelli and Aristotle Onassis. Onassis was dating her sister Lee Radziwell at that time but thought bedding Jackie Kenendy, the most famous woman in the world, would be the ultimate niche on his bedpost. To maintain her stylish figure, Jackie was anorexic and lived off cigarettes, caviar and booze. In fact, she was a lifelong chain-smoker and heavy drinker, even during her pregnancies. It is also very well documented that she (and Jack) both became instantly addicted to Dr. Max Jacobsen's ("Dr. Feelgood's") amphetamine injections, which were touted as "vitamin injections." RFK and JFK's White House physician were so alarmed by Jack's reliance - insistence - on these injections that they procured a sample and had it tested in secret. They were told that the injections were nearly straight amphetamine mixed with a small amount of vitamins and animal byproducts/blood. Both Jack and Jackie had become so addicted to these shots that they brought Dr. Jacobsen with them on Air Force One to Paris when JFK met with De Gaulle. Eyewitnesses saw Dr. Jacobsen in Paris sitting in a vestibule near the room where JFK was meeting with De Gaulle. They said Jacobsen was sloven in appearance, with food stains on his suit and tie, greasy dirty hair and dirty fingernails. Jacobsen reused needles on his patients and injected himself as well (was, in fact, a drug addict). The final straw was when Jack was found by Secret Service wandering the hallway naked outside his suite at the Carlyle in NYC completely oblivious to his surroundings after insisting that Jacobsen give him one more injection. It nearly killed him. He was completely incoherent and had to be led stumbling back to his room. Bobby Kennedy immediately banished Jacobsen (it was found out later that JFK still managed to meet with Jacobsen secretly at the Carlyle from time to time for a "pick me up") and demanded that Jack "get off the stuff before it killed him!" It took several months for the White House physician to wean both Jack and Jackie off the amphetamine shots they were so addicted. That said, I do admire how Jackie carried herself publicly while First Lady. However, there are a lot of people, especially those who did not live during that time, who still buy into the whole Camelot mystique Jackie so carefully crafted. After her death, several reporters and people within the Kennedys' inner circle said that Jackie had been consumed with perpetuating the Camelot/Kennedy legend - especially as her own death from non-Hodgkins lymphoma loomed near. As photogenic and dazzling a couple as they were, many still do not know that there was a lot about the Kennedys that was not all glitter and gold.
Jackie..... 'Ms Style Maven'......Classy? Reserved? Are we talking about the same person? But behind people's back you say crappy things ab't the people your husband and brother in law are trying to help? Humm. I'll have to give that one some thought. For that matter try explaining your position to MLK's kids. I'm sure they'd love to hear you explain that one.
A time full of hope. I think Jackie’s voice is pushing you in the past and make you feel you are there a witness hoping the events will change for a different ending.
maybe i sound crazy, but when i watch videos of them arriving in Dallas i keep silently saying "dont get off the plane" or "take a different route ". if there had been some sort of delay or change of plans that day, perhaps things would have turned out so much differently. then to see them in the limo, smiling and waving and looking so hopeful - then in an instant its all gone. life is so fragile. makes me cry......
John wanted to go into acting. His mother disapproved of that. He really should have. He had the looks and talent and was in many live productions while at Brown University.
When I watched the funeral procession. I saw her dignity. I was 15 and I said to myself “ i Want that dignity” she made quite an impression. I drew on that statement. In my young years when crosswroad decisions needed to be made.
Wish she found someone that worshiped her like she worshiped him. She was exquisite in my mind. Lovely lady groomed for the finest things life had to offer. I hope she found great happiness along the way....
She did find someone who worshiped her like she worshiped President Kennedy and that person was President Kennedy. There are innumerable photos which show the love and devotion they truthfully had for each other.
@@bernardkipkemoi8879 -Whatever he did in the dark means nothing compared to the crooks ,with no charisma, or inspirational ability who followed him. I don't want to name any names, but LBJ,Nixon, The Bushes, and Trump come to mind.
Jackie was a great tragic actress. Her heroine was Madame Du Pompadore, Henry XVIII's mistress, the wittiest and most beautiful of the French women of her day. Her salon was the most envied in the land, where she entertained the top poets and musicians and writers and fascinating personalities. Jackie always wanted to be "suspended in space, directing the action in the world"...she wanted to be "queen of the circus". Most little girls do, but then again, only Jackie could have made it happen. She invented her little voice, a combination of Eastern seaboard sociallite prep school drawl and Marilyn Monroe. Her father directed her in how to be fascinating to men. "All men are rats" he told her and sister Lee, another ravishing beauty. "Always be a little different, be mysterious, be apart from the rest". And it worked like a charm. Jackie was very intelligent - top of her class at Vasaar and the Sorbonne in Paris. From one of the top families in the land she learned perfect manners..and from her social climbing mother, who urged Jackie and Lee to "marry rich"... My mother met her half brother Jamie Auchincloss at dinner one time. My parents were friends with a teacher from an eastern prep school where the Kennedy boys went. Jamie told the table that Jackie and Lee learned how to enter and leave a Limo like a pro, after much practice. I never forgot that. Gore Vidal, a distant relative, called the "American geishas" and "adventuresses". There was no other sister act like the Bouvier sisters. They dominated years and years of front page news and "movie magazines"...very prominent in the Sixties. You never got enough of them, particularly Jackie. She was made for her 1963 leading of the nation after JFK's murder. We never experienced violence like that in American society..we were protected, and life was such fun back then. It was taken away from the men who killed Kennedy and his brother, Bob. But the memories of those years, when America felt young and renewed, led by two great actors, JFK and his other half, Jackie, were a once in a lifetime happening....and those of us who experienced it were blessed beyond measure. To others, it is just history, but to have lived it was awesome. I guess I kind of envy those born after the Kennedy (and Beatle) years. Ignorance is bliss, and you can't miss what you never had or experienced. If you only know that you did miss something magnificent, you would be very depressed.
+Beth Virginia Phillips Please, please, please... I'm french. When I read an american, it always bothers me when someone distort the name of our famous french like you did: "Madame Du Pompadore". It's "Madame de Pompadour" (or Jeanne-Antoinette Poisson). Maybe it's not very different for you, but for a french, it hurts. I think it's important. Here we pay attention to the details when we name your historical figures. We never give them a french name (like you do a lot in english like with Jeanne d'Arc A.K.A Joan of Arc). Please respect our great names. Thanks.
Beth Virginia Phillips So well written. I will say I do not envy those born after the JFK and Beatles' era, though you explained concretely your reason for feeling that way. I, conversely, really feel sorry for those who missed that era, for they missed unique greatness.
You gotta give to Jackie to go what she went through to not have lost her mind, instead she shouldering on snd brought up two wonderful children AND lived her life. RIP
Beautiful people who had to look like they were living up to everyone's expectations. No one could do that in reality. Still I thank them for trying....
If Mrs. Kennedy had fallen apart after the president's assassination, the whole nation would have gone to pieces. Her grace, dignity, and strength in the sad days afterwards gave all Americans an example of how carry on in the face of tragedy. Unfortunately, it's an example we've become all too adept at following, especially in the days after 9/11.
She did fall apart privately. She drank a lot of alcohol and considered suicide but the thought of leaving Caroline and John as orphans stopped her from doing it.
I’m surprised that they slept in separate rooms. I’m also surprised to hear her open up about her personal feelings. She was so elegant and uniquely beautiful.
These tapes meant nothing. Jacqueline Kennedy simply embellished Kennedy's significance and career and invented Camelot. She was never honest, albeit she was a master of discretion and diplomacy. A topic of interest would be why she did this for a man who treated her like shit.
Those who can NOT see the GENUINE LOVE President and Mrs. Kennedy had for each other are missing the love and devotion President and Mrs. Kennedy had for each other which originated from their hearts and souls for each other. It's quite sad they're missing all of this but this occurs when you do NOT have the capability of seeing such heavenly blessings gifted from God. There are innumerable photos of President and Mrs. Kennedy in which they are lovingly staring at each other and their love for each other radiates not only from their eyes but originates from their souls and hearts. The eyes are the windows to the soul and I do NOT need to see yours because the only qualities radiating from your souls and hearts are full of badness.
My late husband came from Massachusetts his mother Irish Widow and his sisters instead of a hope and a picture of JFK on the wall it was the pope and a picture of Jackie O
