Beautifully played, and with such quiet grace! One of the hallmarks of Lute Duo that I admire is that the emotion of the piece is never subordinate to the technique required to play it. A true gift, and the result of years/decades of diligent practice with great love/respect for the music.

Your CD “La Brebis Galante”, captures perfectly the dance element of French Baroque lute music so rarely brought out sufficiently by other lutenists. I mention your CD here, as it also includes a version of "Les Larmes" recorded beautifully as usual with your analogue system. Interestingly your two versions of this wonderful piece have differing variations and I enjoy the spontaneity this implies. Certainly Gallot himself would have varied his interpretations at each performance? Anyone who enjoys your performance here really should acquire your Brebis Galante. I rather hope you make another solo CD of French Baroque music.

What a beautiful 'sarabande grave' this is! And of the performance, what is there to add to all the other comments? It's so perfectly paced, with a rich sonority weighted to make every phrase like a deep sigh, that when the piece comes to and end, there is nothing for it but to play it again (and again...)
