In this trip we explored the Jacumba Valley of the Moon Area in Southern California with our Toyota Land Cruiser FZJ80. It's located right along the US-Mexico Border and is an amazing location for any type of outdoor activities like hiking, hill climbing, off-roading including some nice rock climbing and many others. The highlight of this area is the Elliot Mine Trail which unfortunately we couldn't do due to the heavy storm rolling in on the second day. It actually blew our tent away so we had to break down camp and leave the area in the middle of the night as it was not possible to camp there anymore. But we will definitely come back to finish the task and explore the Elliot Mine ;-).
