Nah, the main reason Diddy let them go is because The Lox at the time were managed by Dee (CEO of Ruff Ryders) and Dee and Diddy are like family. Their fathers grew up together from day-1, and are best friends. So, the relationship and respect that Dee and Diddy have for each other and also around $3 million dollars the Ruff Ryders paid and got The Lox released from their contract with Bad Boy.

@Angela Burke, Not even close? The Lox only did 1 album with Bad Boy before being released and signed to Ruff Ryders/Interscope Records. The album they did do with Diddy went Gold & Platinum and was no.3 on Billboard, and no.1 on R&B/Hip-Hop charts. Trust me real talk and facts!
