@@stackbundles2663 Nah If you put Queen B you gotta put Foxxy.. I was with my guys years ago and Foxy showed up to the same studio we were in, in Manhattan. I got on some weird super fan shii 🤦♂️ and she started laughing at me 😂 and she started talking to the engineer. the whole night I thought she was a fraud because her regular voice was squeaky and she talked real Boujee, so I thought she was a fake and just looked like foxy. she started rapping a line from her Brooklyn anthem song and her voices changed to the voice that we hear on her music, she looked over where i was at but couldn’t find me in the crowd, and said something in her regular voice again and started laughing… I’ll never forget that night….
i lived all over YO for 10 yrs..i can say jada was on the block and all over just like he said the fame never went to his head (ayo laughin) love is wonderful...100
Born and raised on Lockwood Ave in Yonkers. Love how Jada shows the city and his life. Much respect! The man been through a lot in our city. Much love that he still to this day shows love to the people of Yonkers.
A real Goat!!! doesnt ever get proper recognition he deserves and its crazy hes undeniably one of if not the best lyricist ever and hardcore with it GOAT!!
I'm from the X but I'm very familiar with that area, so I'm glad he kept it 100. Rappers never talk about the good, they always speak on the bad like their hood is the worst place ever. That neighborhood was overall safe and nice. I'm sure it had its moments, but at least when I was around there in the late 90s and early 2000s very calm.
Bx Boro I used to stay summers on ravine with my fam. Def earned my stripes out there. used to stay in a couple of beefs with neighborhood kids. Used to have to take the recyclables up the hill to that store back in the day.
I remember I grew up..in the hood and cats was yo that white dude can't come round beat his ass so den..I knocked every cat out to this day even though...they thought I was white..and I said man y'all don't know shit..they like why...I said I'm not white..I'm a native American Mohawk..my dad left my mom and ..gettin picked on..be laughed at I said don't y'all know look at Africa do you look like a African...they said yo he's right..So I said why...because they natives used to be together with the slaves..and they mixed they said dam you right...and from they day on after knockin blocks..I earned my stripes and ain't nobody try some funny shit..I grew up In Niagara falls and trust me I'd be runnin diving into cribs...eventually I said these cats don't know ..so that's when I began to pack heat...and then ..that's were I got my name ..well part of it..CAUSE ICE T..I was chillin wit him and he's like aye yo Hustler get yo are in here we can't leave the door open it's VIP you wit US now...and to this very day they call me Hustler....hahaaaaaa
All of the focus was put on glorifying our people having to grow up in these conditions, yet I saw a street named after a Marine Lance corporal. Possibly a better role model, yet no focus or attention given to that. Let's be honest, jada is one of the coldest MC's, but he doesn't rap about black empowerment. If anything, about everything that destroys black development and consciousness. He literally was proud of having to stash drugs by the fence... I don't care what anyone says, we all know it's true what I'm saying. How many children living in that environment aren't going to get lucky and land some major record deal and become rich enough to leave that environment? Let's not glorify something that obviously has led to a vicious cycle of generational curses.
Wait, how do u know he sold drugs? Sure he raps about it, but thats just like any actor in hollywood portraying a drug dealer, thats what sells in america, how does this affect your life? Do u have children? raise your kids right and u have nothing to be worried about, have faith in GOD and u have nothing to worry about, we are all GODS, we all have a piece of the most high in us ALL, use your brain, 1.
+ii iaa You can blame them but that thinking isn't of the conscious variety and feeds into the "crab barrel" thinking. Drugs were BROUGHT into the hood to keep us from thriving like we were. When drugs came in we were STILL thriving until the government decided to make unfair laws.
@@bxboro4662 and I think that may be a misuse of the word suburbs. Just cause its houses doesnt make it a suburb, the suburbs are white neighborhoods build economically proficient started in the 50s to suit the middle upper class and is the contrast to inner city projects (think white picket fence)
