@@reneeladouceur This olympics Nations qualify a team of 4, plus the potential to qualify two extra individual spots who don't compete with the team. One of the extra individual spots can be obtained through World Cups which Jade is doing. That spot is non-nominative and will be specifically for Jade to compete in 2020. She is one World Cup win away from qualifying to that spot on either vault and floor

I dont think anyone doubts that it's just her Artistry that people harp on. She is just not that type of gymnast and it's fine. She is exactly where she needs to be and she is in the lead on the World Cup circuit to get the first nominative spot for the US on Floor and Vault

They just need to milk the code more. For example, Simone's first pass from today (the full-in double lay split jump) is worth the same as a Moores (H+0.1=I) and for her second pass the Biles to front lay is technically another I (G+0.2=I) and she does a front full to a full-in (E+0.2=G) and then her last pass is a double-double which is an H so Simone honestly has the same level of difficulty in passes almost she just has a lot of connection value and does it super clean. Most she gets deducted for is landings because she's so powerful. Other than that the routine's choreography is pretty good and fits Simone so I doubt she gets artistry deductions so it's literally just landings most of the time. I think Simone may also have harder dance elements but I'm not sure. Jade has the skills it's just trying to find a way to add connection value like Simone does to milk the code and get all those extra tenths.

She can do front full to full in for cv and chuso split jump which would have her at 6.6

I think Jade is first Arizona Sunray's elite gymnast or a least their first important elite gymnast, so her father have not experience working with the elite Code of Points. They need serious help. Jade is very talented, but, sadly, she's not reaching her full potential. I wonder why her dad seems so blind to her big execution deductions and lack of expression.

Tim Funny thing is that Jade scores better internationally. Also I rly respect grace but she’s so overscored... I know she’s a hard worker and improved like crazy but her form is... erhm...

She’s not “dancy” so having a more dramatic song to show off her strength in tumbling works better for clean lines and not spunky like Laurie Hernandez. A song where any choreography could go to it, simple stuff not over the top and show off her strengths.

I don't think .5 is the max. Some of the artistry deductions are holistic, some say "each time." Like every time a gymnast is off-beat they can take .1. In practice, though, I doubt any judge will take more than .300

Judges typically ignore the "artistic" deductions since pretty much most routines would get them. Jade ABSOLUTELY did not get 0.5 in artistry deductions. No way. If that were added back to her score, her E score would have been higher than Simone's (not counting the out of bounds). This routine had deductions, but it was judged way too harshly. Jade got a 14.6 in a WORLD competition (World Cup in 2018) for a similarly executed routine. Jorge is right. Judges are hesitant to take more than 0.3 in such deductions, and they usually take less.

Donny Williamson Hm, I didn’t know that! Everyone talking about artistry deductions and Jade make it sound like it’s a 100% done deal Jade’s receiving maximum artistry deductions, and that the max is .5. If she’s only getting 0.3, good for her!

It's probably artistry deductions killing her E-score. She doesn't move with the music that much and the dance comes across more as "I need to do this because the code requires me to" than "I'm doing this because it's important in my routine".

She is grossly underscored. She got a 14.6 for the same routine at the World Cup. USA judges just have their favorites, namely Grace and Riley.

Totally agree! Considering she was scouted from level 10 at age 17? She's KILLING it and has so much more potential with the right choreographer and smarter routine construction.

First, and foremost, this is not a dance competition, so the individual skills really aren't judged unless they are jumps or explicitly in the COP. With that being said, here are the artistic deductions: 1. Immediate start of tumbling pass. -0.1 2. Subsequent acro line deduction / insufficient choreography between passes. -0.1 3. No Ballet position in the line before tumbling pass -0.1 4. Adjustment into corner -0.1

Ah okay, well I can see her getting a few of those, then. It’s really too bad if she’s being brought down by it since there’s really minimal deductions elsewhere and since she’s actually incredibly talented

@D Leo UMM. Yes she is. That's why she's still trying Beam and Bars. She's almost locked up a "specialist" spot, but she is eligible to be on the team since she was not part of last year's (2018) world team which qualified to Tokyo.

How rude. She is an athlete not a dancer. She just tries to be focused. How about men? They also don't smile/ enjoy their routine. This is elite sports and they don't give points for performance

No she was just better there and and grace sompared to world's only had a 0.1 difference in exicution why would it be laughable. The judges know what theyre doing and just cause u don't agree with something doesn't mean that they're not doing their job properly

@@marsbars2889 the execution here was definitely not 0.4 tenths worse. Jade is always underscored domestically which is why they went the world cup route. She scored 14.2 at Worlds in 2017 when she won the silver with 5.8 difficulty. And the judges gave her the same vault score as Mckayla Skinner? c'mon lol

The score is not accurate. The judges gave Grace almost the same execution score as Simone (not counting the out of bounds), so these floor judges were a bit... off. She scored 14.6 at the Baku World Cup for a similarly executed routine.

She is a lovely person, but her gymnastics are still unwatchable! I will be sad if she gets choosed instead of one of those gage girls

@@aliciaaschieri9024 I completely agree, in 2017 FX finals she was deducted 0.4 in artistry causing her to lose the gold, i never really cared about artistry but this is unbearable. she was just a level 10 a few months before 2017 season so I was hoping that it would improve. It's irresponsible of her coaches to allow to perform such a bland and unbearable routine knowing that she will get deducted for it. Id much rather the gage girls go even if they have less difficulty.
