@@Mrcool210 I agree. Older people just naturally have a more nasal voice. Especially since they didn’t have to “fake” a voice like Dan Green does for Yugi (cuz Dan Green doesn’t actually talk nearly that deep.)

This live duel might be new favorite. Not to save the others were bad, but there’s a lot here that makes this shine. Matthew returning to voice Jaden, the meta jokes, their *acting.* They let out so much energy when they use their signature cards, this duel is amazing.
Wow...these two are GX Dub VA Legends. No matter how the translation goes, GX was a fun show in my childhood and did see it's Season 04 through the Internet. Jaden Yuki became stronger in the end while Aster Phoenix has his Destiny Hero deck complete and avenged his father in the anime.
Man, I just love how much this read off as an actual episode of GX, one I would love to see is Zane taking on Kaiba just because of how similar their decks are designed
This whole thing is _so_ amazing, from the PoG joke to the differentiating between cost & effect, targeting vs non-targeting, to the hilariously convoluted 'in-universe' reason for Jaden to have those cards in advance. Only way it could have been better is if Jaden was voiced by ShadyVox. Edit: Jokes aside, this was the _perfect_ way for Matt to come back to the franchise and he's definitely still got it, and it's standard procedure at this point for Oliver Wyman to kill it no matter which duelist he's voicing.
Fun fact: Aster also had a card from “Power of the elements”, guess which? He had Starlight rare DPE if you can look closer on the original vid of NA championship day 2^^
The best part of this duel was when Aster used D-Counter, and subliminally and passively attacked the entire Yu-Gi-Oh! Community for NOT READING THE FUCKING CARD 💀💀💀
I really hope that the jaden voice actor makes it to more yugioh world championships like hopefully 2023 or in the future cause I really want to see jaden yuki vs seto kaiba
They SHOULD complete the 4th & final season of Yu-Gi-Oh GX for English dubbed. It's too bad 4Kids TV ruined it & decided NOT to dubbed the 4th & final season of Yu-Gi-Oh GX to complete the GX saga. 4Kids TV also did the same issue with Yu-Gi-Oh 5ds in not dubbing the final season either. Good thing 4Kids TV go bankrupt, which is karma for their actions of leaving Yu-Gi-Oh GX & 5ds as "Unfinished Symphonies"

I love how Aster would have won if he hadn't jumped the gun and just chained DPE to Neos Wingman. Jaden would have been totally screwed. Great to see Jaden's VA, though.
When I was a kid, I used to think that duels weren’t written but played. Like if the series needed Jaden vs Aster and Jaden to win, two workers would just record their duels against each other until Jaden’s deck won and then just reverse that duel and use it in the series.
I'm cringing so hard at the over-dramatics, but the child in me is screaming in delight at hearing all of this years past the Anime. It makes up for all that cringe.
