@@Rashinnu No he hasn't. And I was there to witness the duel vs Ishizu. The closest to consider a "Win" was the Mai/Joey/Yugi vs Pegasus/Yami Bakura duel. And that's only because Yugi was able to beat both Pegasus (after he beat Mai AND Joey) and Bakura.
@@youkai3785 Let's be honest, they will never have a scripted duel where Yugi loses so that was a given from the get go so it didn't matter who was on his team. they could have put Mokuba and Tristan on his team and it would have been the same result. Cool you got to wash the Ishizu duel though. I would have liked to have seen her duel more then once in the anime.
A part of me wishes I could see Pegasus play a Red Eyes Toon Dragon against Joey. I can just imagine the reaction. Joey: Alright Pegasus, let's see you top my Red Eyes. Pegasus: Oh, I assure you, Joey-Boy, I will do more than "top" him. I draw. Next I activate my Comic Hand Card. With this, I can take control of your Red Eyes as if it was my own. Of course, I would never make him an outcast among my toons. It would just be inhuman to do so. Fortunately my Comic Hand gladly helps him accommodate. As they say, When in Rome... Joey: WHAT?! What did you do to my Red-Eyes?! Pegasus: I made him adorable. But don't take my word for it, let him do the talking. Inferno Fire Blast! Does anyone else see it happening?
Wow that was well written, wish I could see it in an episode of the anime now lol, have yugi Joey and tea 3v1 Pegasus with him taking all their iconic cards and toonifying them lol
I have to admit, I wish we saw this side of Pegasus in the anime and manga. To show he is more than just his playful toons, but also a deadly and ruthless duelist who has gone through hell for what he seeks, much like Dante did to show his more darker side lurking underneath the surface of his personality. Basically, it’d be like he trolled Kaiba with his toons, but Joey had to witness Pegasus using cards that are more ruthless and deadly with a risky strategy of a self killing deck to unleash his powerful monster effects quickly. While making Yugi more worried for Joey’s safety and his chances of beating Pegasus in a duel, WHILE revealing to us a new(at the time) format for duelists to enjoy in XYZ summoning. You have to admit, it would make one hell of a twist in the first season if they did this and give potential in the future if they went this route. Shame no synchros was used….
I wish Joey won. Just to show that meta decks don't always win, or to teach that it doesn't matter how powerful your deck is, but it matters how you play it. But I would LOVE to see Joey vs Jaden, or Jesse vs. any character, Zane vs. Kaiba, or even Yubel vs. Yugi.
So you want Luck to beat Skill? Ha. You remind me of every TCG player, "Noooooo, I want my old cards to be competitive." Too bad, players now are more skillful, cards are more powerful and winning is harder than ever. It's the real dueling world kid. Get used to it.
Awesome duel. I love it when the voice actors come together to give a special performance for the fans. Joey did himself proud... you will always be a duelist extraordinaire in my book Joseph :) Thank you for sharing :)
it's a bit weird isn't it, voice actor's are quite talented though, hard to believe pegasus' voice came out of the other guy, but they sound just as good as they did in the show :P cept for the few screw ups, but hey they're human too and it was live
It sucks how Joey hasn't one a single scripted duel. He lost to Pegasus in 2012, then to Kaiba in the same year, and now to Pegasus again at 2016. Hopefully with the next one, he wins. I wanna see him take on the VA of Jaden, or maybe Chazz. Or even Crow. Just hoping that Joey wins the duel next time.
You know burning Abyss is sounds about right? A deck that pegasus would play since the lure of the infernal is something he probably would be very interested in.
Great duel as expected when the VA's fit the characters making it feel natural unlike Yusei vs Yuya. Loved how they used Jo...ey's luck in this. The fan reactions were great. Jo...ey didn't need to destroy Beatrice to win. lol That's our Jo...ey.
Here's how Joey could've won: Simply attack Beatrice without equipping Black Metal Dragon. Since Beatrice wouldn't be destroyed her effect can't activate, but Red Eyes Black Flare Dragon's could. He would've taken LP damage, yes, but he would've won thanks to Red-Eyes Black Flare Dragon's effect
I watch this when I was a kid and I was really into the card I still collect the cards that have them I don't do it anymore because nobody I know does it I used to answer your local tournaments out of every character in the original show I only watched the first show for the first two shows the season zero and dual monsters however no character was more interesting than these three characters kaiba Joey wheeler and Maximilian Pegasus
Man I will admit Joey did pretty great despite losing it was a great duel between him and Pegasus. 300 life points that truth be told is giving someone a run for his money.
That moment when you realized at least *ONE* character from *EVERY* Yugioh series has appeared except GX. Yugi, Kaiba, Joey, Mai, Yami Bakura, Pegasus, Marik, Yusei, Akiza, and Astral have all appeared and Yuya just made his debut in the scripted duel club.
Archfiend Black Skull Dragon Thousand Dragon Flame Swordsman The rest? Good question. Maybe some other Fusion monsters Joey used in the cartoon. Like Alligator Sword Dragon, Giltia the D. Knight, and some Hermos fusion cards.
Who else would pay to hear the official Yu-Gi-Oh! voice actors recite lines from the abridged series? I just want Darren Dunstan to say "OoOoOh! I'm so ambiguously camp!"
I noticed that the d6 that Joey rolled for Roulette Spider had a four on one of the other sides as well. I'm guessing it has a four on every side, which would make sense as this is a scripted duel.
Darren Dunstan said oh Yugi boy I can see everything in your mind your hopes your dreams even your fears and what you fear most right now is me and with good reason you know my mind reading abilities give me an unbeatable advantage.
Maybe a rematch between Yugi and Jaden, with Jaden rocking a deck of Atribute-specific Elemental HERO Fusions and Masked HERO Cards, alongside all of the effect Elemental HERO cards from the manga.
So they can make references from this duel for Duel Links, but they won’t do the same for the 2016 duel between Yugi and Kaiba? Edit: well, they gave Yami Yugi a line for Ebon Illusion Magician. Heck, they gave DSOD Yugi lines for most of the Dark Magician cards, but why nothing for Kaiba?
This duel was really enjoyable. I enjoyed seeing Joey use the Red-Eyes archetype, but I would've really enjoyed seeing Pegasus use the Toon archetype like he always has. Why'd he use Burning Abyss (even tho it was pretty cool!)?
It was explained, just after dissolving Time Wizards Effect. Mind you, they use the Anime logic, so Burning Abyss monster don't get destroyed (age) as they are in the abyss already where they no longer age.
