Reason number 3476 why I always delete the mono blue/simic players. They’re never innocent, they’re never “doing nothing”, and always threaten a 20 minute solitaire turn that ends up with you both dead and asleep. 😂
man what a game simic doing simic things holly hell jason yes the decision to not kill jason was the truning tide of that game you all played a good game
Yep, i did a jadzi once, had to dismantle because of this bs that takes 1 hour to resolve, however mine was 40 basics, jadzi, 58 inst/sorc and the apprentice, just so i dont miss
my friends complained about mine being too much like solitaire especially because i have seedborn muse and leyline of anticipation meaning every turn is my turn. so i added hive mind and eye of the storm so we all play solitaire together, also its main theme is group hug so i refuse to take any complaints on the deck
Thats a kind of stack that you pretty much have to start writing things down in order to keep it orderly and resolve right. And it would need three sheets of paper minimum.
@Jason, at 4:50 why did you discard Mnemonic Deluge? You could have used it then and there to cast three copies of Boundless Realms to get every single land in your deck onto the battlefield
Because there was 20 power coming in from Cayden plus whatever Matt flips off of Winota. There wasn't time to spend next turn casting Mnemonic Deluge. Plus Shigeki was in had for getting it back later if things worked out. Flood of Tears was also the top deck for the turn, so the plan was to dig for it with what little was left in hand.
@@SmoothBrainEDH It worked out in the end, and I see you at a plan for it, but you didn't need to use it next turn. You had the mana to cast it that turn and basically cast your whole deck the next turn
@@joedoe7572 true but nobody's going to let you untap with literally all your lands in play. Jadzi was also meant to block if needed. There's a higher chance of just surviving the turn if Jadzi comes down that turn as opposed to painting an even bigger target on your back.
I know everyone is complaining about not killing Jadzi, but this is a friendly format that is played with friends. Look at the life states at that time. Jadzi has 4 life, the next lowest life total is 36... I have definitely lost games for the same reason and I wouldn't change that. If the game ends for someone and everyone else is virtually untouched it feels pretty horrible.
Fair, but sometimes the right call when you see a deck/board state that just screams 'KILL IT WITH FIRE!' is to, well...kill it with fire lol One of the friends I occasionally play with ones only decks like that, and he ALWAYS wins whenever we're in a certain group, cause his whole strategy is to abuse the crap out of that with sleeper OP decks. Hell, one of those scenarios was with a deck I provided, and it ended EXACTLY how I expected it to lol(it was a blue mill deck that combined stall and refresh to force everyone else to deck out: all of us decked out cause he was able to bounce our shit back and force us to mill 10+ cards at a time, and put the cards bouncing our shit back into his deck lol(
Most fun I’ve ever had against jadzi I was playing against our LGS’s resident pubstomper and I was playing marisi, breaker of the coil. Smashed him for commander damage 3 times before he rage quit. Never seen jadzi since because I think everyone knows how unfun it is for everyone to watch you solitaire
We have tiamat.. we have acolyte of Bahamut...yet no fucking BAHAMUT. I AM SO PISSED OFF. Sorry for that. Loved the video but every time something remembers this fact I get pissed.
Yeah my friend built a full counterspell wizard-tribal extra-turns deck to deal with bullies at our LGS. Jadze is the commander and she doesn't even use his flip side, or any green cards at all. Mono-blue "Nope" deck. A few days ago we played Commander roulette and I ended up with the Jadze deck and held back an Omnath locus of mana deck by bouncing him 4 times, along with shutting down a Neheb twice. Brutal deck. I won even though it was close. I got pretty land-fucked and never found any of the 8 extra turns cards. Also, nice 40k figure that appeared at some point on Chandler's screen. He should have been announced as a surprise guest.
Yeah, f* Simic, right? 😄 I mean... Feels like Jason played around half of his deck while the others combined played like 15 spells? Chandler's double choke hurts...
For me personally having to sit through someone's 10 minute + turn isn't fun I usually fold and never play against thst deck again. It's just boring and wasting my time 😂
