To be fair.. i was in rot for years. Left when they became toxic. It hurts to see such a nice clan turn into dogshit. The leaders failed really hard the last years. Everything we build up is gone now. Just a shame.
Props to Jagex, I feel like the community takes every chance they get to shit on the Jmods, but I feel we should all appreciate them for taking this serious and setting examples.
@@thelegacyofgaming2928nah man. The osrs subreddit has had tons of posts every day about RoT. The community was making sure that Jagex wouldn’t forget. You can’t give all the credit to Oda
There is a reason for that. And that reason is because the only reason it ever got to this point is specifically because Jagex allowed it to get this bad. That clan was getting up to shenanigans like this since their inception. They have a long history of rule breaking, known rule breaking, and Jagex did nothing, despite being well aware of it. Jagex only acted here because it was so egriegiously obvious, wide spread, and destructive to the game's very reputation, that they really had no choice but to take action.
To be fair there has been a whole lot of changes in the Jagex ranks. There is a lot of talk about removing spin mtx from rs3, the money will have to come from somewhere. So it's just a price players will have to pay.
@@dylancrosby2451 bro world of warcraft has been $15/month for like 20 years, final fantasy 14 is $13/month, star wars the old republic is $15/month, hell even wizard101 is $10/month and that game practically died years ago. subscriptions around $10-15 are pretty much the MMO standard and have been for many years
LMAO. Imagine being Tom. An incel that plays 12 hours of osrs a day and larps as a woman online for attention, dedicated his entire life to a RuneScape account and chose to be a neet, just to get it banned. Poetry that "Karma" replaced this loser in the highscores.
Over 1t total Bank Value, a Rank 5 Overall account, multiple high-ranking Hiscores accounts, tons of rare names that will likely get bot-sniped the microsecond they're made available, hundreds of accounts including max mains and max cb PKers. This is what happens when you think you're invincible people. All for some DMM prize money that was 100% gonna go to RWT and Botting to make even more accounts and artificially inflate the clan wealth. Reign of Terror is done. Even if they restart, restructure and try to get back. Absolutely no one is gonna take them as anything credible.
I find it very funny that most, if not all swears are bleeped out.... Except SkillSpecs because hearing him just half room yell "F U C K" really sells you on how he's feeling
Runescape Moments from years back was far better than anyone today. no annoying dialogue, just clips. And it wasn't all just people screaming over rare drops.
Everyone congratulating Jamflex for getting rid of rot... except it took them 10 years to do it... should've happened loooong ago, especially considering their own employees in the past have been proven to be affiliated with rot...
I ABSOLUTELY LOVEDDDDDDDDDDDD, when oda + dinos clan gathered together( traverly gate to falador) , intially fighting but and all agree'd...on the spot in the mist of all the chaos came together to spam "kiII rot" and gathered behind a noble cause. truely a moment, i will remember forever, GOOD JOB GUYS.
the best part is the top page Hardcore ironman "funk" is also in rot and was banned. he goes by wartortle something and was always talking shit on twitter lmao. and cant forget the guy with 4.6b xp/200m all skills gpt banned too.
@@leftypiratemaybe they will go outside and touch some grass now,and maybe and this is a very big maybe...THEY MIGHT FINALLY LOOSe THEIR VIRGINITY!!!!!!
It's cheater money. The absolute dumbest thing jagex could possibly do with it is put it toward a good cause because then it creates positive associations between the bad behavior, and good causes. The only appropriate response is to delete the gold
kinda low of kemp to shoddily throw in only a 3 second clip about that... seems to be a pretty important topic that the community needs to be more aware about - typical creators not wanting to be ratioed because of SOMEONE ELSES mess up.
It still feels like Jagex was overly complicit for YEARS before acting on ROT due to undeniable evidence. Makes me wonder if they have connections within Jagex or why they were protected by the company for so long despite a colorful history of bad behavior.
I have never been an OSRS player, yes i played on release for a bit, but DAMN as someone who follows OSRS RU-vid alot, this is Brilliant, well done Jagex :)
I quit because of their bowing to the WEF on the gender politics for ESG - but it does make me happy to see them stick up for the community... The thing about it is.... it took Oda saying something about it to get to that point.... Again.....
Lets hire more people so we have to pay them and give us more content so we raise prices of membership and bonds making the game less playable year round. thanks Jagex. I just want OLD SCHOOL
They were not botting, they "joined" RoT because it would give a good chance of winning the finale. They may not have been aware that RoT was cheating at the time. That's my thoughts
Because that would be an insane standard. None of those people have ever been “in rot”. They joined a CC or a discord channel, they aren’t responsible for the cheating.
So people from a 3rd world country running millions of bots don't get banned but u wanna ban main stream people to look like they're against botting? Every bot farm is how many membership or bonds? 😅 let's b honest jagex only want to stop bots to make us think they care about the game they don't they just want money don't forget they were in on eoc easy to say it's bad n they hated it after seeing the backlash
@@crypticmushu1560the scope of the game has massively increased over the past years. Loads of quests, quality of life improvements, new areas, minigames, bosses, skilling/combat balancing. They have been mass banning bots lately too, these bots indirectly were a source of income for them as they bought bonds. They have good reasons to increase the price, you're just salty about it. Maintaining a game like this and ensuring it doesn't fall prey to corporate greed in the form of micro transactions isn't cheap. The devs are not evil, they are people that have passion for the game and want to see it flourish. Just take a second to realise how amazing it is they have kept OSRS's membership model the same for so long. I think a price increase is more than justified.
jagex keeps doing things like banning massive bot clans, i will keep handing them money. just paid for another year subscription a few days ago and have been exploring around varlamore, grinding slayer, 2 levels away from being able to fight araxxor and ive noticed prices of almost evvvvvvverything has gone WAY up. i love to see it.
I don’t even play OSRS. Anymore but I love the cheating lore invoked in the community.. in a sense it brings balance and keeps good updates coming in. May actually start playing again thanks to this video. I love controlled chaos
Before everybody starts getting *too* hyped just remember - they're doing it to ensure the continuation of Old School, and Jagex itself, after ignoring it for over a decade now. They didn't even take the L when it came to the loss of income from bots, the bumped up both bond and membership prices. Too little, too late imo.
jagex math. "we pay out at end of deadman" "we must ban the bots to make the community feel good"...... Main game makes them millions a year........ "we can ignore bots because people bond them and it makes us more revenue"
I know a lot of people are upset by the price increases but I’m super happy with the updates we’ve been receiving and content overall. Now that jagex shows signs of taking cheating seriously hopefully things keep improving and they hold on to their promise of not implementing more mtx.
I got perma banned from the sailing discord not long after release after getting dog piled for asking legit questions. Was getting cursed out and name called but I got banned just for disagreeing. Seems like there is only room there for people who agree and there is 0 room for criticism or constructive feedback.
Who’s gonna pay 15$ when you can’t even get half decent customer service? Quitting osrs has been the best decision I’ve made. Wish I woulda quit sooner lol
this will have 0 effect in the long run. RoT are rule breakers, they don't give a fuck and will be back. Jagex needs to issue lawsuits and sue bot websites. Change the eula to say that anyone that uses a bot client agrees to pay jagex 1 Million Euros as a breach of contract.
