Three years ago, I had the opportunity to pass a resolution at the 2013 Federal NDP Convention, recognizing Jaswant Singh Khalra as a human rights defender.
20 years later, we continue to remember a man who fearlessly fought for human rights in the face of extreme danger, and in fact became a victim of the very same injustice he fought against.
