Having watched this I fitted this to my full resto OTS. Having had a couple of roadsters in the past I can confirm that this mod transforms the car… no more movement in the panel gaps.. fantastic modification 👍

Thanks Chuck, I learned much about the E Type's carrage construction thru your video, thank you for making it. Ive often heard this is the most difficult car to restore. Bart/VA

Very impressed with your engineering and fab skills. Good attention to detail using corrosion protection. Wish I had an E-Type now....

Should have bought the Monocoque Metalworks tie plate. I wasted much time coming to the conclusion that the other plate was too big. Great video!

Really interesting channel. Shame you don’t have more subscribers. Typical of RU-vid people haven’t the attention span for real quality information, everything has to be condensed into ten minute time lapse complete builds. But for those of us seeking real info. Well done 👍

Chuck . When you see how many spot welds there are , it's a daunting thought should you have to plug weld that lot ! Lovely work . It's great that most if not all of your comment's come from "e"type restorere's .

Chuck, People don’t listen if we don’t raise our voices. I like your reinforcing tubing, great idea. What is the total added weight for all added reinforcing?

Chuck, You are not talking loud. I find most people don’t listen well, so I have to raise my voice. The girls pay big $$ for jeans like that.

I was just thinking, given the value of these restored cars... why dont they make the floor an other replacement panels out of stainless steel ?? too hard to weld ? corrodes the other steel ? just asking :) great video btw

It’s a shame this is all covered up in the end. It’s a work of art.
