Jaguar stuck in Drive no starting 

Ah cool ta.and like you i always keep a spare centre column on my passenger seat.thanks man.

It can and WILL go out .. the knob will invariably stick like any piece of moving machinery and when it does it will cost you 2-3 grand to put a new one in. I know because I had mine replaced and I didn’t have the dealership do it either. 💯

Idea, why not speak instead of pointing at stuff?

If you have issues switching the knob out of park… push the car forward a but by force to release lock.

How about just replacing the start button ??

He doesn't give an eff to the wood trim.

Is this considered the “transmission control unit” and do you have to reprogram it to your car?

I have the same problem on a XF-S from 2011 :)) I'll tray to repair the circuits on the board.

Does anyone.know how to remove the wood trim part behind the handbrake leave I can't move this little panel

Will this also help with cranking and starting up my Jag...mines completely stop cranking up and starting once I press the start button like you did in the video...hit me back with some feedback and that part number to replace the whole module unit that you replaced here in this video. I'm willing to buy that brand new and installing it to see if it will finally crank and start so I can start driving my car again

Did you had to reprogram after you installed the module switch?

Hi. Working on a 2016 Jaguar XE. Stuck in Drive after putting in Neutral manually thru Neutral Switch under the bonnet. Neutral Switch released but stuck in Drive. How to put it back to Park to start it? Thanks

I think he told the computer system it's a new part the UK any new part the car has to be told a new paper has been fitted I know this part is not a plug and play

If this goes bad will the car die on you while you’re driving? My boy has one and cant figure out why its not starting so he had it towed here and i had to push it so its parked correctly and in doing so i seen a light that said gearbox something or the other on and thats where i am now.

The gearbox should automatically go into park if the driver forgot to do that. (2010-2015) seems like an electrical malfunction.

Gear control module..... $400 something in the UK British coins ... US will be $659 if you go through a dealership they'll charge $1k
