Mine has 46000 on the clock, they are not the most reliable supposedly but there is plenty over 100,000 out there, that's saids alot to me. I will be getting a major service every year along with a oil change twice a year just to keep it tip top, I have prepared myself for the long haul for things to go wrong if they do, can read too much into the Internet sometimes, the last search I did said they are just as reliable as a BMW and Merc, it's what you believe. It's a wonderful car though to drive and look out, watch this space I will report back in a year.
@ALM1000 , I quite enjoyed the XE , its a very very sexy car and the quality of the materials is top ! Now to be honest.. i don't really like the sound of the 2.0 diesel.. it is a bit louder than the competitors, but its agile and it makes up for that.. it is truly a good decision to buy one ! Peace and blessings to you and thank you for watching my videos! All the best my friend !
The main module needed replacing the dealers tried everything to fix saying it cost thousands, 6 times I took it before they replaced it, I've only done 23 thousand miles in the six years, that's all.
I know what you say , some of them had this kind of issues but some of them didn't.. its like the Range Rover issue... My guess is that they have engineering design flaws, they know about it but it's good business for them to repair cars at the dealerships.
I have to tell you honestly that it depends on how lucky you are :))) I have friends who had Jaguars and they didnt have any issues but I have friends who had a lot of trouble with the engine or the electronics of the car :)) but one thing I know , It sure is a beautiful car ! Peace and blessings to you my friend !
It is a hard choice my friend.. but I can recomand honestly to drive them both.. and one you gonna do that , you will know what is the best option for you !!! Thank you for watching my videos! Peace and blessings my friend ! 🙏🏼🤗
I own a 2018 XE-R sport diesel and sometimes switch with my brother's XF. We both prefer the XE, unless you need the extra space in the back. Ignore the outrageous 36.000km 2 years recommended service interval, put fresh 0W30 jaguar spec oil and filters on it every year or 15.000km. Both me and my brother have 100.000km in the ingenium diesels with €0,00 repairs because we ignored the very silly 36.000k recommended service interval.
@CarswithAlbertAlex , I’m looking to buy the XE 2016: Here is a few details about the car . Make:Jaguar Model:XE Year:2016 Variant:2.0d R-Sport (180ps) Auto Body type:Saloon Exterior colour:Blue Mileage:110,000 mi Condition:Used Gearbox:Automatic Drivetrain:Rear-wheel drive Engine:I 4 Diesel Engine size:2.0 L Horsepower:178 hp With this details do you consider it a good choice to own ?
@tolulopeojolo6867 sounds ok, the R Sport looks cool and with some finishes touches like some tinted windows and some black rims will look even better ! When do you plan on buying it ?
@@CarswithAlbertAlex I had the turbo go out at 47k. And then that destroyed the DPF, and most of the EGR system. The dealer charged me around $5300 for the turbo alone. In the end I stopped going to the dealer. I rebuilt the turbo just to learn how. Cleaned out the entire EGR and DPF, and figured out how to use Jaguar manuals. I change the oil every 6k miles now. This isn’t a problem just on XEs, it’s on all ingenium diesel models I love my jag… but the XEs are not for the faint of heart. You’re gonna drop some serious cash any way you look at it. Also, here in the States, small shops don’t like to touch Jaguars in general. They have the quality of being in the price range of BMWs, but having the service availability of higher end cars. There are plenty of dealers, tho. So if you’re ok with giving a lot of money to JLR dealer near you, you’re fine.
Thank you for the nice words Paul ! I appreciate the comment :)) next time I'll pay more attention :) please keep in mind that I've learned English from Cartoon Network so sometime I do have the American slang . Thank you for watching my videos ! All the best to you my friend 🙏🏼🤗
