A great review for a travel and tourism channel. Definitely not the information I wanted when researching a car. Not many stats beyond the engine. While I don't doubt Vicki's passion for cars, a few more stats and opinions would be welcome.

not one detail about that car. not one small bit of info. you took a quiet car to a tunnel and planted a surrender flag on top of a hill in Britain. see "jaguar xj vs god from Top Gear" for more advice

my family own an Xj newest version and I am 19 years old and drive it everywhere I go. People have told me that it is the best car they have ever seen and it is so rare here in sweden and specially in my city there are only about 5 of them. At least here it is still considered to be a really classic jaguar.

A lot was disucssed about the area in which the driver was driving through, but not too much discussion over the car itself. The car is pretty expenive, but it does not come with features like a Heads-Up-Display or night assistance.

If u wanted more drama from the jag, then why didnt u drift it around a few corners ? Look at Top Gear. Easily sliding the xj sideways at a roundabout

Average review. Its a plush top of the line "limo" of course its going to be comfortable over agile and sharp! You say its comfortable like its a bad thing but its most certainly one of the most important factors in this market segments!

That's only available in small wheel base form, the supersport is the fastest long wheel base car jag make.

Dick Mcgraw It dedends what market you're in. The USA offers the 542 bhp XJR in SWB & LWB.

The SWB supersport has been replaced with the XJR, the LWB supersport still exists in the UK market and as far as I have been told there are no plans for a LWB XJR.

I am not a good reference on 'taste on how sth looks'. My mind has been conditioned between the end of the Seventies and mid-Nineties, as I am 41. Fashion and tastes in shapes is a hard topic to discuss. Anything is better than the XK8. Enjoy the car, greets

Someone copied Top Gear America's driving through the tunnel in the USA with 3 different cars to see what top speed they would reach before the end. Note: The tunnel was closed to traffic while filming and monitored by the local police!

"I don't feel in the action" it's an executive saloon that weighs 1.8 tons not a ferrari testarossa. I've just bought the XJ portfolio 3.0ltr supercharged with only 16000 miles on it and that car is so tight and so precise I very much feel "part of the action" that was the worst review I've ever seen.

Don't get me wrong, I like Jags. But they have to have the 'classiness' of an Eighties XJ - good for that era (I have driven one, back in the early Nineties, as a 19 yo, wasn't mine) or the XJ 1994-2009. The latter is way too conspicuous. A real Jag needs a degree of restraint, ever since 1968.

Waste if time these cars are get yourself a Shelby GT500 or better yet get an American muscle car and build it yourself. If you can't do that go home to your mommy
