Thanks for the shoutout Dave, that was a very kind move. Keep up the good work. Can't wait to see the XK150s on the road.

Those locking pliers were one of the first specialist tools I bought, Dave. They were (at the time) a little bit expensive (for me) but needed them to secure the bolts on my rear calipers on my XJ6....funnily enough when I was younger we used rather bigger ones to secure the tops of potato bags down on the farm when we had finished removing all the stones and rotten 'Tatties'. Also good to see Amir wearing one of Martin's T shirts..

Hi Dave, thanks for the shoutout to my sons channel I found it interesting that jag used a taper pin to hold that clutch fork as triumph also used one and i have had trouble with the pin breaking . I now drill and add a bolt and nut to give a bit more strength. Glad to see you are running those motors, even a perfect job can show up a problem that can only be found when it is run up. That tool for thread repair looks handy do you know who makes it. Thanks Mike

Mike, No i don‘t but they were called thread savers i was luck enough to be given it by a viewer Peter Froud, Cheers Dave.

Dave you are dead right about grease in blind holes but the problem with ‘smaller’ stuff (as opposed to oil industry) is less of locking hydraulically than cracking castings via the developed hydraulic pressure.

Tom, No promlems i hope it helps! Not very high tech but it would do the trick if your thread was damaged, Cheers Dave.

Ian, I do have a bunch bag when i get frustrated but the towel is a must at the moment as the temp is so high at the moment it‘s time to get the fan blowing some cool air around, Cheers Dave.

Dave... bud... if you put your finger into your other hand like that one more time i was gonna wet myself.... honest tae god man, if we worked together we'd get nothin done for you slappin me, lol. i do have to say it's so sad that you don't trust them motors after all the drama, but like you said best to find out now, neighbor bought a 500 grand silage chopper only to have the motor detonate in the first field and when they dropped the oil pan they found an adjustable wrench in a dozen pieces (along with piston parts) so fingers crossed, cheers guys.

Doug, I am fairly sure they will be good but without the exhaust on you can‘t hear any cam noise and the oil gauge they had rigged up had a leaking pipe on it so i just want to be sure at 12K per engine! Cheers Dave.
