You can never use training as an indicator for a player unless you practice with 100% full commitment but you don't want to risk injuries while doing it. But there is also the opposite, where a player doesn't perform good in training but can add this extra motivation in a game and perform much better when it matters.

i would not say nothing. You can see potential weakness of players and can see where they have to put extra training in to improve. I would say it's less about seeing the strength of a player, but rather to see his weakness.

For certain things definitely. U can’t judge physicality IMO cause guys and team are tryna stay healthy. It’s a mental block. Preseason is where u really start to see as far as the younger guys and things like press coverage, tackling, trench play and the running backs go.
