I understand what shes saying. After years of watching Christian pastors helping themselves rather than the people. I came to Rastafari thru a fiance who was a Rasta also. It felt like home to me. Rasta follow Christ teaching more than most mainstream Christians.

My grandfather who I grew up with in Jamaica was a Baptist Minister. When I arrived in England I had a somewhat similar experience to the one you had Jah9. It was when I hooked up with the Wailers especially Bunny Livingstone that Rastafari became a reality to me. I have undergone some radical evolutionary changes. Even among some people posing as Rastafari I have found some rather controversial issues. One thing I have learned is that Spirituality is not simply about following the herd like a sheep it is about one's own Self Discovery. Knowledge has increased so in this day and time Ignorance is a choice.

Had a very similar experience to this. Grew up in a Xtian household and started asking questions from a young age that the church couldn't answer and that's pretty much how my journey started.

I was just trying to emphasize how Christianity dogmatically follows Anglo-Saxon misinterpretations of an originally African history. personally I think Jesus was a revolutionary, rebel, critical thinker and a philosopher. not a saviour. Haile Selassie is the true salvation.

He accepted Yeshua who is the Christ messiah before he died. Hallie selassie made it clear that he was a man and not to be worshipped, for he was a follower of Christ who is known to most of us by the Greek pronunciation of Jesus. A lot of those pastor made a mess of christianity, if anyone read the bible it would tell on exactly how to live like jesus christ, I see myself as a child of the almighty God, the bible said plainly what will happen to those pastors, bishops who dosen't hold up to titles they put on themselves and lead the flocks astray, I was raised up in a rastafarian religion but I now find love and righteousness in the God of the bible who is the creator of this whole universe, very one has there journey and I respect that.
The message of the gospel never change from when your father was your pastor. The mistake you make is you follow a man instead of continuing to follow Christ and man will let you down. Sure you will find preachers and pastors with wrong motives and not even called by JAH to the position they have assumed while others go astray from their calling. You have to try the spirit because not everyone who says they are of Christ are indeed of Christ and those who are in error need to be rebuked and not allowed to continue in heresy but must repent. Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever. If you are a true Christian you shall return to Christ. It's not about your dad, or any other pastor/preacher...it's about Christ. Remember there are plenty of commercial dreads and fakes Rastas...plus H.I.M. Yup there are a lot of western people who are under the illusion of worshipping English/white imperialism, but true Christianity is about all human nations being important and superior, as our Lord Yehoshua(Jesus) Christ commands us to do is love one another and yourself. When I heard uncle Bob(Marley) saying that Haile Selassie was the 2nd coming of our Lord I thought for a while then thought, anyone can be the coming of our Lord if they follow his teachings and commandments, his spirit will then come through that person. True followers of rastafarianism, Christianity. Islam, and Judaism are actually really followers of the way, the natsarim, the ones who were rejected by early church fathers for being "judiazers" practicing circumcision and following old testament law and prophecy, and were rejected by jews for believing and having a testimony in yeshua🤔....so I can easily understand how so many people are weaving themselves between the religions...however yeshua is the way and that way is narrow, blessed are his holy days not he holidays, and blessed is our creator Yah , most high ,lord of lords!
