This is a national song of Sikkim sung in Nepali language during the monarchy system, after Sikkim got merged with India and later re-released with the change of two words on the 4th para where it says "Janmah bhumi" that had an original word "Raja and Rani". This song was dedicated to the King and Queen of Sikkim.
The lyrics of the song was penned by Sanu Lama and the music composed by Dushyant Lama. Th singers of this song are Dawa Tamang (Lama) and Sonam Doma Bhutia and arranged by S.B, Rasaily. The song was first sung on the birth anniversary of Chogyal Palden Thondup Namgyal on April 4, 1970 at Gangtok by Aruna Lama, Dawa Lama and Manikamal Chettri.
