I named my son Jahmali because of this singer. I desired for my son to be an artiste so I named him Jahmali. Funny thing I’m learning now is that the singer real name is Ryan Thomas from race course Clarendon. I am also Thomas. I’m from Manchester but the Thomas side of my family emerge from Clarendon.

First time I heard Jahmali was on a Penthouse mix CD around 95. It's a song called WAKE UP. He's a very unique singer with a beautiful voice. The only person he sounds like is Jah Mel, who he has song with (WIPE THE TEARS).

I like his history vibes. I lived in Racecourse for a year in 1978. That area was very exciting; being close to Milk River Bath and Farquhar Beach. Many beautiful places are close such as Portland Cottage, the home of Coco Tea.

Jahmali sang one of my Favorite Reggae songs of all times. (El Shaddai ) Longtime we don't link mi singer! Correction though....Toots is Originally from Treadlight District MayPen Clarendon. Maybe he had acquaintances in Racecourse but he's was definitely not from there. 🙏🏽🙏🏽 Great interview
