I love how every content creator goes through the same arc on Arven. "ok whatever this guys kind of a dickwad" -> "who tf cares about this sandwich herb bullshit" -> "aww he's trying to help his dog. thats...kind of sweet, actually" -> "haha he has daddy issues lol traumadumping" -> "holy shit he REALLY has issues" -> "WHY DID THIS GAME GO SO *HARD* ON HIM GOD DAMN"
Then he forgives his parent in the end despite the fact that he was raised by his dog lol. Arvens a dumbass, if your parent gave a shit they wouldn't have straight up abandoned you.
@@deadstar9507 In Germany History Class is just straight up ww1 and 2 for 3 years. Was boring for me but it looks like people still don't get it anyways
I love the different reactions Jaiden and Alpharad had to the end of the team star storyline. On the one hand, Jaiden blames the school system. On the other hand, Alpha wants Team Star in prison.
I think penny committed a federal felony. She’d likely get jail time. The rest of them might be guilty of conspiracy and go to prison for felonies as well depending on the circumstances.
Because on one hand you have Jaiden, a person who pays attention to detail, plays smart, and turns horrible situations into a win And then you have Jacob, can’t pay attention to anything to save his life, gets lucky, and rides the luck straight to his failure
@@logeyperogi1805just because Jacob plays a certain way doesn’t mean he doesn’t make good points about team star, they still have committed crimes and whether they got bullied or not doesn’t excuse them, however the school system is definitely at fault also for allowing the bullying to take place
@@craigyeates1854 what crimes have they committed? loitering and underage driving i guess??? all they do is cosplay and do their stupid little star logo all day, they literally don't do anything lol. i like jacob but he definitely did not pay attention and really none of his points are valid
Anyone else notice that it takes one sandwich from Mom to heal the legendary to full power, but 5 sandwiches filled with magic power to heal it after? Just bring the thing to your mom's house and have a full power legendary. Plus, it probably would have healed the dog to.
Ok but real talk, I understand that pokemon dialogue is shit most of the time but you can’t mash through it all and then act like your in a position to critique the story for not making sense! *cough* Alpha *cough*
@@heavywalrus1443 the problem is that a lot of streamers think that they should be putting out as much content as possible so they skip dialogue in order to get to the important parts
Jaiden playing Pokemon is one of my favorite things. The way she loves every little guy for better or worse and just enjoys the game is really nice. She's so genuine : like you know she'd be doing the exact same thing on release day for 4 or 40k people.
If this game had another year of dev time, it would’ve be praised as the “Breath of the Wild” of Pokémon. Thankfully it seems that Gamefreak has finally learned their lesson and is going to extend their development cycles
Arven and Turo/Saada is the hardest Pokemon has gone since the BW games. Both with Bianca and her dad and N and the whole Plasma story. Just wish they had spent a year or two more on polishing the game. TotK got polished and postponed a bunch and that was the most flawless game I've seen in ages.
I feel like work will probably have already started on Gen 10 for Pokemon but they're also continually updating SV. Also let's not forget we killed Lysandre in XY. Buried him under the ruins of his own building.
I believe that depends on which game you're playing - iirc doesn't he end up turning himself immortal in X? It's not like it's a better fate...but it's not TECHNICALLY death ig...
To add more to Gen 5: the Battle Facility leaders of Unova are twin brothers named Ingo and Emmet. In Legends Arceus, Ingo is there. Over a hundred years in the past, he has amnesia, and there's not a single scrap of information about Emmet. He could still be in Unova (probably not handling his brother's disappearance well) or he could have been transported to a different region and century like Ingo (possibly gaining amnesia as well) There was a popularity poll in Japan for people's favorite male Gen 5 characters (there was a separate poll for female characters). In the male character poll, Ingo got first place and Emmet got third. N was actually second place.
Jaiden getting flustered over the history teacher who continues to have "dom vibes" whenever you speak to her was an absolute mood that I also felt when playing
Definitely one of the better pokemon stories in a LONG time. Like it actually felt like the devs hired an actual team of writers who like to write, because we finally have decently fleshed-out characters and storylines that were thought out properly with an actual arc having been completed each time. Pokemon game stories always kinda just felt like the story decisions were just decided on by whoever was in house for a typical journey beat story. I was fully expecting to turn my brain off to the story but I was genuinely surprised at myself for being like "damn, whats happening next"
I thought the team star plot was shit arvens plot (best out of the three) was very good for a pokemon game and victory road was the generic pokemon formula i think the team star plot could have been way better (and the game as a whole) if they gave pokemon scarlet and violet another year because they were working on pokemon arceus and pokemon scarlet and violet at the same time
Team star’s plot was a good anti bullying message for its target audience. I would like a villain group that’s actually villainous. Some times those group come off as flat and cartoonish. Also would rather not have a misunderstood guy. It seems we’re getting a plot with the villain group not being related to the main antagonist plot. This has been happening since Sun and moon and it seems to be the new trope. The problem with scarlet and violet is the main antagonist plot doesn’t really start picking up till post game. And then is over very quickly. No admins or schemes to interrupt. No one to save. Just a boss battle essentially. There is also a lack of dungeons. I don’t think the team star base battle mechanic made a good replacement for the villain base dungeons.
Scarlet and violet are simultaneously the most glitchy Pokémon games I’ve ever played well easily being one of the most enjoyable. It’s weird it’s a hot mess but it’s a fun mess
I think Scarlet and Violet are the best Pokemon games on Switch, both in mechanics and graphics, but the occasional fps drops do get annoying. Never unplayable, but it can get slow sometimes.
Jaiden having a better understanding of the team star plot than Jacob (because she can read and he can't) but at the cost of her having no understanding of Nemona during the victory road plot.
Casual Pokémon fan who hasn’t played Scarlet/Violet (own it but getting around to it). Also never watched Jaiden before. Realised within seconds that yes - this was indeed a 2hr video that is EDITED. Wanted to express my appreciation for whoever went to the trouble to edit such a long-form let’s play and did such a nice job. Also got to really get the vibe for Violet’s introduction and really enjoying it so far. Also Jaiden is fun, good banter the entire way so far. Debating whether to keep watching or whether to save this experience for myself when I finally play it. Either way - stay awesome Jaiden. Glad I bumped into your video 😊
1:28:46 Funfact In french nemona run after them screaming "WAIT FOR ME MY DARLINGS" she was CLEARLY into the fights, proper to her character, whereas in english it sounds more like she's responsible (even if like penny say, she clearly enjoy it)
i love how progressively dark the game gets- specifically Arvens story. like the dude is literally traumatized because his father died and he didn't know for like 10 years, and when he found out that the AI wasn't his actual dad he really said "alright i'm gonna leave you again bud"
Gotta love how Arven’s whole world was shattered finding out his dad is dead and now the robot one goes out to get milk, and then Nemona kinda just goes “ok cool, what’s next?”
Nemona is brain dead and has 0 emotional intelligence. Honestly one of those people in the friend group that just can’t take a hint and always talk about themselves without consideration for others
So, the AI very clearly said that they only work because of the crystals and can't leave... Which means they don't last long on the other side and they knew that. It was a self sacrifice.
@@Confron7a7ion7The AI might honestly be okay, since the crystals actually grew on them (you can see them even after the Paradise Protection Protocol is defeated) they could very well still function just fine.
the fact that Jaiden took a good long look at Iron Jugulis and still thought it was a normal Hydreigon is really funny. They really did just say "make it metal" and call it a day.
it sucks because it could have been so GOOD. speculative biology is fun to mess around with and if the future paradoxes leaned more into it they'd be way cooler
@@crcoghill What do I "not get? Most of the Past Paradox forms like the future ones are barely different. Jigglypuff and Misdreavus are literally just ribbons and spikes, Amoonguss has stubby feet and Magneton is just a generic caveman. Sounds every bit as "inventive" as the Future Paradoxes.
@@darkhorse744 I would argue that the Past paradoxes are miles cooler than the Future paradoxes. I would never get why ALL of the Future paradoxes are just robots. The Past paradoxes at least lean onto the original Pokemon's roots and them being larger, more feral and more aggressive makes complete sense (e.g. Great Tusk being twice the height of its descendant Donphan and making it a mammoth). The Future paradoxes was like, "Alright, let's make it a small robot and call it a day."
Yeah. I remember my first thought being, "Geez, he's kind of a jerk." And by the time he revealed his real reason for hunting down the herbal mystica, I took back everything I was thinking before.
Player towards Arven in the intro: "Look at this clown, big clown about town." Player towards Arven during Path of Legends: "BRO ARVEN, MY DUDE, MAH BOI!!!!" Player towards Arven after The Way Home: "Dude...Arven, if you need someone to talk to...like...share the hurt bro."
And it's not just his backstory, the dude is really likeable in general. He was willing to fight against titan pokemon despite admitting that he isn't great at battles just for his doggo. Like holy shit man, what a chad.
@@mosstits Plus like, he shows up to each Titan with a decent answer of a Pokemon for each. Hell, he carried me hard in the Earth Titan fight. Then his team at the end is actually strong and consists of all the Pokemon he gathered along the way, plus his best friend. Dude's amazing.
genuinely i was so upset that i couldn't hug him at all during the game. i kept wanting to hug him during gathering the herba mystica, but then felt even worse after leaving area zero. made me sob, but the game is so good.

I loved this game. It was the first pokemon game that I have actually finished in a long time. Purely due to the fact that I could do everything in whatever order I wanted
Heeey I knew you’d get the best version jaiden (gee is it obvious which one I picked well both legendaries had wheels but only one actually used them and the future paradox Pokémon are SO unbelievably cool looking especially iron valiant who’s literally a robotic fusion between Gardevoir and gallade)
People had said most of what I would've said about the game in the comments, so I'll go with a nice detail for those of us that live in Spain. Have you seen those mail boxes in the game? The yellow cilinders that are in some cities in Violet? They are EXACTLY the same as those in Spain. They didn't need to do that, if they weren't we wouldn't have missed them, but they added them. And all people I know have reacted the same, with glee, watching that little detail that we didn't expect to find. By the way, there are a lot of pokemon that are designed from spanish things. To give a few examples: - The last evolution of Quaxly? A carnaval dancer from the Canarian Islands. - Greavard and Houndstone? They reference the Santa Compaña, a myth from Galicia. - Smoliv and Lechonk are easy, the olives and iberic pigs. - Charcadet and its evolutions? I'm pretty sure they are a reference to El Cid Campeador, specially Ceruledge (the Violet evolution), whose myth says that he had two swords whose names are related to fire, and he won his last battle against the moors when he was already dead, as they put him in his horse and the sole sight of him (well, his corpse, but the moors didn't know it in the myth) made them surrender - And of course, Miraidon, who is based on the Cuelebre, a spanish myth (basically a big lizard related to thunderbolts that protected treasures, an electric dragon, if you will). Also bikes. In Spain there is a big culture around bikes, and we've had big world champions in bike races through history (Angel Nieto, Marc Marquez, Jorge Lorenzo... some of the best bike pilots in history, alongside people like Doohan or Rossi), and several active circuits (Spain is the only country with FOUR motoGP races, the other 15 are distributed through 15 countries) I did miss a new horse pokemon, spanish horses ARE famous, after all, so a new one or a regional variant would had been nice, and maybe something related to swords (Toledo's swords are famed to be among the best made swords in history), like a regional Aegislash, although to be fair, the new pseudo is somewhat related to swords, so, to be fair, I can't complain too much, but I would have loved a regional Aegislash xD
Also the bocatas the bocatas as the food for the picnic is a masterpiece because it’s big culture to eat these weird sandwich made of very specifics bread and sometimes someone just ate one as any type of food as a lunch as a dish as a snack just they are legal for anytime of the day to eat and nobody will tell you a thing like is happens when you ate I don’t know ice cream as a second dish ? Bocata is legal for everything
These little details are actually why I love the series so much. They pay a lot of attention to this stuff (I first noticed it in Sun/Moon with the adressing of people, but it has been around since Red and Blue days interestingly enough). That's why I would love to see so many countries be represented in the Pokémon world as well. Charcadet as a nod to El Cid is pretty intersting, too. I knew the myth, but I didn't see the connection. And you're right about the horses, but they probably steered away from that due to Galarian Ponyta just the generation before. They did get enough backlash because of Meowth *lol*
@@sarahsander785 Fair, but I wouldn't had been against a regional mudsdale XD And honestly? At this point the regional Meowths were like the pikaclones, I was expecting one with each new region. I know there was some backlash, but I missed a spanish... I meant paldean Meowth. I dunno in which cat could be based, but... XD
Funny thing. If you go to Penny's room. Her pokemon are just chilling all over the place. She also has boxes of pokemon food. Considering the fact that almost her entire team has Baby-Doll Eyes in their moveset, you realize they actually aren't battle-trained! They're her pets!
In all honesty I’ve had such a hard time getting into Pokémon Violet because of its open world but watching this makes me want to give the game another try
Me avoiding this video thinking it just a stream VOD finally put it on to go to sleep only to find out its a god damn 2 hour edited video. Why must you bless us like this Jaiden? we dont deserve it.
Paldea League is in shambles X) Geeta had to get someone from the sales department to fill a gym AND elite four spot Poppy likely got into the elite four thanks to Hassel’s influence (Poppy does call him grandpa Hassel)
holy crap the editors went all out. gods 2 hours. i'm amazed at their dedication. i see why it took awhile to get these out. it's not just vods. it's straight up an edited video. ❤❤
The amount of times Gavalain tanked a hit that Jaiden thought was going to kill him is a real tribute to how chonky the Fuecoco line is. Love that we finally have a defensive-oriented starter again.
Violet is my first Pokémon game. Went in with my bare minimum knowledge of the franchise which was some of the anime and the Regis. Currently with: Gardevoir - main damage dealer for most situations and my first psychic pane faerie type (they were one of the ralts from the starting area originally and now they are level 53) Gallde - faints nearly every battle but I can’t help but root for him, mostly use him to catch Pokémon or test the opponent’s damage. Tinkaton - the teams Tank who can also deal damage if the type advantage is in favour. Garchomp - caught the prior evolution and just had him on the team since and he single-handedly beat the ice gym Vapereon - caught them because I had no water types and that’s about it. I do have others but they are replaceable (hope they add the Regis to the game at some point since they are the reason I looked into Pokémon as I just found a card of RegiRock and went “he looks cool I wonder what he is off”) Still figuring out the type advantages but with my teams mostly pscychic and faerie damage dealers I’m fine against most types for now.
@@JayceCH. I honestly prefer Nemona over Geeta. The league champion's ace didn't make sense being the ace since it's better suited for her to whip out at first.
As someone who watched many, many trailer reactions and breakdowns and other videos in the lead-up, it's always fascinating to me to watch these playthroughs by creators who avoided the trailers.
Something that's often overlooked (as it shows for only a frame or two) is during the final Turo battle, when the text is changing, the text "AI Turo has no intention of fighting any more!". Really sad that this is truly against his will, and shows that this game truly needed more time in the oven to give developers everything they wanted to do.
That's a really good catch. The first battle starts with: "AI Turo has initiated a battle!", which is already different from other trainer battles. The second battle goes: "You are challenged by AI Turo! Paradise Protection Protocol initialized. You are challenged by AI Turo! You are challenged by the Paradituro ProtecProtectProtec You are challenged by the Paradise Protection Protocol! AI Turo has no intention of fighting any more! You are challenged by the Paradise Protection Protocol!" The AI is briefly trying to fight over control with the PPP.
@@cameronweaver2013 His teams do tend to have some glaring weaknesses though. For instance, if you choose Scorbunny, his team has three Pokemon weak to Dark (Aegislash, Dragapult, and Mr. Rime) If you choose Sobble, Leon's team has FOUR Pokemon weak to Ice (Dragapult, Haxorus, Rhyperior, and Rillaboom)
@@duchessofmelon9967 Those overlaps are offset with him having generally great Pokemon with good, wide movesets. Charizard is the only "bad" thing, but mainly because of its' Max moveset - G-Max Wildfire is not as good in Singles as it is in Doubles, Max Overgrowth creates Grassy Terrain which doesn't benefit Charizard at all, and Max Rockfall creates Sandstorm which is much more detrimental than helpful. I'm not hating Charizard, nor think it's the bad fit for one of the world's greatests, and the moveset is, in my opinion, great on paper, but practically Leon's Charizard's biggest enemy is himself.
When I fought geeta it started raining when she said she couldn't hold back. Just crazy cinematic timing I guess. Also nemona is probably the only good rival that's not a complete jerk imo
one of my favorite things about the new games is if you encounter a trainer in the routes and stuff, you don’t necessarily have to fight them. you might want to because it would help you level up, but if you dont want to you dont have to. thats something that always like aggravated me in the older games, so im glad its an option now.
Funny how understanding the plot changes your perspective, huh? Alpha was the personification of "tl;dr" for the team star path, and the comment section roasted him for it.
I think this game had the best pokemon story since B&W. And even then the freedom this game gives and how it all comes tg at the end, I find it hard to say that this is one of the best pokemon stories out there. Forgetting graphics and any other issues it had, the story overall was so captivating, when you finish it, it truly leaves an impact on you and a sense of true accomplishment. S&V outdid itself in that aspect imo.
Everyone keeps talking about how the editors edited a 2-hour video… remember: Jaiden played this for 3 days, at LEAST 8-hour days… so this is at LEAST 27 HOURS, edited down to 2!!! Freakin’ AMAZING, editing team!!
I'm surprised since I haven't seen your videos for a year and I see your face that looks like a Chinese man, well I'm glad you're still uploading videos and good luck

I got bullied by one of them...Many would call that a win." -Jaiden 2023 Wise words from Jaiden 😂😂 I bit sad that some footage (even it is majority of the 3 storylines) I still enjoyed it. Especially this edit gives a more full detail of the story. Nice play through!
She did? Sometimes it feels that she was not kinda spamming A, but was still going pretty fast, and didn´t seem to read most dialogues, you could tell she was like "Bro what´s happening?" in pretty clear story sections.
I know this is a year old but thank you for not bashing on the graphics the whole game I just want to see people play the game and enjoy the story, sure they can acknowledge the graphics being subpar, but hearing it every 5 minutes is exhausting. It makes everything so negative.
I spent months on Pokémon Scarlet and completed everything and now I completed Violet. I am glad. I got my Pokémon to level 84 before even taking the Pokémon league on. Now my Pokémon are at level 100!
The reason Professor Turo needed a duplicate was because his wife, Professor Sada, left him for going off the deep end. The books in the research stations give backstory
