I think it only makes sense for King David to consider interviewing Chicco Twala himself because about four people he has interviewed have all mentioned how they were inspired by Chicco, so it would really be interesting to hear the story about his journey.
Bafethu yazi eMdantsane kukho otata babantu ababizwa ngoo Jakarumpa because of this legend these are the guys who are supposed to be motivational speakers to our troubled youth
Kalawa Jazmee need to make a plan and have a film division because the quality of artists they had need to evolve to that movie status level. Real South African films.. "Straight outta Ndofaya" vibes 😁. Just from watching this interview I could see a Trompies movie which tells this story perfectly with quality authentic pictures like they did when giving is music videos.. We are tired of apartheid movies.. One of Our biggest exports is our culture as South Africans and Africans.. It can't just stop with the music!! And I want to see that Blue Trompies Caravelle in the movie 😆😆
I mean it's criminal to have Trompies, Alaska, Boom Shaka, Mafikizolo, Bongo Muffin, etc in one label and not transcend these brands to documentaries and movies. Proudly South African films.
What i love about his podcast kore ke mfana, le 2000, and most of the guests i don't know them but i gained a lot of knowledge from them. Interesting stuff joh🔥
Juirus killed me with his story of Senyaka buying the chicken to slotter & candles to chase the Demons 🤣🤣🤣 Juirus my brother please Consider the Book we thirsty for it my brother 🙏
"Tussen!!"He is in the building!!Jakarumba is without a doubt a great storyteller. His narration here is truly praiseworthy, it seemed like I was watching a Trompies/Jazmee film documentary. Props to the both of you. This was a brilliant dialogue.
Bro! That's exactly what I was think when watching this movie. Kalawa Jazmee need to make a plan and have a film division because the quality of artists they had need to evolve to that movie status level. Real South African films.. "Straight outta Ndofaya" vibes. Just from watching this interview I could see a Trompies movie which tells this story perfectly with quality authentic pictures like they did when giving is music videos.. We are tired of struggle movies.. One of Our biggest exports is our culture as South Africans and Africans.. It can't just stop with the music!! And I want to see that Blue Trompies Caravelle in the movie 😆😆
@@olebogengmagano8883 I mean. If David can turn this interview into a proper film doccie one day, perhaps by adding different perspective. Look at me, getting carried away Lol
Please bring Revolution the twins grootman or Dj Cleo... I wanna hear from these gentlemen who decided to produce their own music during the era of house compilations.
Thank you once again Bra Kgosi, this grootman is legendary ko kasi, only in Meadowlands you'll find so many legends😁... Ndoyafa stand up!!! Ma 9 Stand up!!! These were our idols growing up ko kasi...These interviews need subtitles for all to understand these legendary stories, I'm so proud and feel so privileged to see this grootman's story being documented like this. Thank you King David, you are undoubtedly one of the best interviewers in the country....Klean👌
🤣🤣🤣 I promise you Meadowlands has a type. Never laughed so hard on this podcast....thank you for the content Sir David. I remember I used to be so scared of this guy in high school. To save money we'd walk from zone 1 to go catch taxis ko dobsie. I used to see him ko zone 9. I knew he was famous but there was no way I would greet him with the look he gave me.
Learnt a lof from this interview, Meadowlands and Naledi in Soweto are hardly recognised historic places, to me it,s like my ancestral village Shoshong in Botswana, has rich history of BaMangwato tribe. The places groomed many artists and political activists.
Yhooooooooooo!Jairus iwisdom elapha🙌🏾You are indeed a living testimony 🙌🏾May God continue to bless you beyond measure.UThixo makahlale ekuphethe ngeTarhu!🙌🏾Greater is He in you than the one in the world🙌🏾Thank you for this podcasts manene 👏🏾

I throughly enjoyed this interview, I'm a big fan and have so much respect for grootman Jairus and the whole trompies crew. more life and prosperity to him.
Subtitles please David Mashabela. Us from other countries know these legends and listen to your podcast but don't understand a word because of language barriers.
Can we please have Chico Twala and Give him his flowers cos wow almost all Musicians who are Documented here talk him and the extraordinary value he has added in South African music please 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏. Thank you for another Great interview funny and moving.its a Gem
I'm really glad that I lived during those times when Kwaito was at peak. Yeses what a great way of life, Jakarumba had nine lives indeed. This legend here was my favorite because of his playful character. When he throws a little bit of afrikaans I just smile because I grew up in a township where old Tymers would speak Tsotsi Taal and gooi Afrikaans here and there. Looking back at those days it is difficult for me to pick one artist and say this was the best. They all had a distinctive character that was different from the rest and you would like them. Ngimcanywa blind mina umfundisi, ss he would say "Hallellujah".
Great to hear these tough life stories which were expeienced by most youngsters growing up in any typical South African township during those times and struggles of apartheid.
" I like big fat men like you. When they fall they make more noise and sometimes they never get up!" Tuco The Good, the bad and the ugly Thanx Mfundusi...
King David, the survival of Jairus from that boiling water burns, really shows the power of God. It also shows that only the plan of God will prevail, no mater the obstacles or storms in our lives.
This is a great man, I remember when they used to come to Durban, yooo benza ama wazawaza , n I also opened I group I called it Trompies n I was a DJ when I was still in school
