This guy paid a heavy price for us and the call for free education. We appreciate him very much. And we thank him for the sacrifices he made for us. Salute
This guy always speaks the Truth hence his not in ANC leadership. Thabo Mbeki is right ANC are used to lie or telling lies hence Dlamini is not in the leadership.
What is his anger solve;we all still at one place. Free stuff is just stupid. Man has to pay lobola, why can't your parent's give you away for free.if you like free stuff don't expect to get good stuff back.we need to be reasonable. Some they put their first 350 on A good use.now they are suveving. Some they do hand to mouth. Let's open our eyes as people m
Mcebo really makes me feel emotional. It’s such a sad reality check for all of us blacks . I wish he was given an opportunity to lead because he is a natural born leader
everything the guy is saying is true, i was that student who sometimes ate from wits dustbins(lol, i would watchout for anyone who might see me) and quickly check for a heavy container. that container often had barely eaten burgers/pizza from th Dining Hall. yah it was rough... hope my kids will never face that, it was humiliating at times, scavenging for food on campus, yeses. hungry , having to sleep at the libra and woken up by the vacuum at 24hr library. the sad thing is that i never completed that degree and im only now doing my final year in MiningEng at UJ this is after decided to return to school. and im 30yrs old. LIFE.....
It’s never too late don’t compare yourself to your contemporaries and you’ll never lose your determination. I’m sorry you went through that. I feel your strength and resilience but we shouldn’t have to be strong in the first place. These pple leading have no shame whatsoever. Someone who was rewarded with the presidency for defending white capital by killing our pple in Marikana.
I can relate, was one of those that slept in the Library before a lady by the name of Jabulile Khuhlase took me in to be a permanent squatter in her room at Jubs 😢,
When you listen to blacks stories, you see that we coming from far. We struggled to be where we are today, but we come out and allow politicians to use us to continue undermining us. I we all can stand up, be involved in politics, this country can change for good.
@@user-qm6sp2qz2hSome of us when we get to top positions we make other blacks below to feel us. That's why we not progressing as a people but only as groups of individuals and that's what the system wants.
i was eating that meal on lunch and was getting the grocery package. forever grateful to all that made it possible. this reminded me why i have to continue helping others where i can
That's what's Malema is fighting but yet the whites b saying he is a terrorist.. Ul never hear the DA talking about education. Especially to build a black child.. Yet they say woooo DA is heaven.. Heaven for whites that's 4 sure
Me too . I can now connect what is happening to people's government pensions. The modus operandi is the same because all these people are employees of the same system.
I am one of the young people who benefited in the #FeeMustFall initiative and I am grateful to bhuti Mcebo and EVERYONE of those students, workers in universities and others who are/were part of the movement. 🙏🏼
indeed. he is a courageous person speaking reality and not sugar coasting it and nothing he has said/ elaborated has not been said by the EFF top gun. e.g. it is not the border or blaming migrants. these migrants favor who?
I don't regret using my data for a close 3 hours. Mcebo was factual and honest with all of his answers. King David I respect you with such good interviewing skills- guiding/steerring the interview to get answers and not forgetting the questions that you asked. Good and insightful interview overall. LOVED IT !!!
I'm watching this interview for the 2nd time , now I'm feeling the same thing that , everytime I want to feel & revoke my consciousness ill definitely listen to this interview. What a BORN LEADER. Can't get can't Tholakala
😢😢 this man just brought back the my sad University years. Damn it was though. More especially for us who came from the villages. I survived on 1 meal a day for years. This man derseve more. He is my hero. South Africa is movie
I was aware of such before and i took it light but the time we did not experience the loadshedding during the world cup rugby, I was pretty much convinced that there is someone controlling the remote.
"The youth is angry but they're distracted by groove, sex culture" this is might true, the way young people are glued up in alcohol and sex is so concerning
The way he articulates challenges in academia, this fella should be targeted for position of Minister of Education easily. I never heard any Minister nuancing academic challenges like he does.
eff is all in for African progressive movement regardless of political party differences, EFF is a radical progressive's political party which subscribes to Pan-African and Black consciousness@@Mingase
Everybody in the ANC must watch this, maybe, just maybe their eyes will be open. Tupac once said, I'm not saying I'm going to change the world, but I'll spark the brain that will. Mcebo is dope
I was part of #FeesMustFall this guy made me relive those moments. He is so well articulate, staunch ANC but also smart to know how ANC has failed the people. I truly enjoyed this episode. I could listen to this guy the whole day. It is painful to learn that all that they fought for is slowly being reversed by the system. What a Chap! I loved this episode.
The story hurts. What hurts the most is the unjust criminal charge, which am sure was manufactured and manipulated by business. Yet another failure by the ANC that did nothing and failed to protect their own. This guy is a fighter. A typical EFF fighter too. This man must be a Minister of Education at some point. He understands the space very well... but he must join EFF. This guy would make a better Minister of Higher Education than Blade. Yet another reason why the old age ANC must go to old age home
The fees must fall stories deserves a proper documentary, we have a lot of students who benefitted from the movement and are now in coperate. It is sad to see that the people who led the movement where thrown out by the system. I need students to watch this and learn. Black child wake up
Mcebo is on point, during the Zuma era a lot was achieved...... NHI, Fees Must Fall, Data Must Fall, buidling of universities and infrastructure development was booming
I relate so much to the story about blatant and institutionalised racism at university. I went to the University of Pretoria and the afrikaaner classes would get the exact scope and "hints" about the tests and exams while the english groups would be told to study the whole textbook.
After this great session I realized how we as black people have along way to go. We are not united as black nation, black elites are gate keepers of black excellence and also the same black elites propagate white supremacy because of stomach politics. We need leaders like Dlamini in our societies that advocate for black liberation 🫶🏿
@@MrSolugo you are absolutely correct Bafo, EFF is for the marginalised people, Mcebo can be a great component to EFF movement, but mostly I would like to experience leadership that has ATM and EFF leadership, both parties could great a good governance for black society.
am happy the EFF has done well in waking up many to see where to see and say what to say. it is the thing between the two ears that must be awakened not the thing between the two legs
Freedom Dhlamini. If eswatini and all African countries were not welcoming to freedom fighters from SA where would we be as South Africa liberation wise.
Mcebo has really opened my eyes and invoked black consciousness.we are angry and numb, family structures destroyed, bleak future for the youth so on and on.Wish we had people like you,who are patriotic and willing to start afresh building S.A.,taking us along with them...May you be blessed in your efforts to awaken and progress a black child
Mcebo articulates well the struggles of Black students especially at tertiary level. The saddest part is that these struggles were soo normalised to an extent that I think our parents would be shocked/hurt to hear them being articulated in this manner. We don't really thank the student governing bodies enough for the sacrifices they made because they were also registered students with their own struggles, but they were willing to put themselves in the frontline and fight for students rights. We need to do better. Government and the private sector really need to do better. We cannot be having students in 2024 still with the same struggles we suffered. Thank you for this episode, Mr Mashabela🙏🏾
Let's start over. Let's get the DA and their alliance partners to fix this mess including the education system. Even Zim has a better education system and they pump out graduates at a higher rate. No point in blaming this on white monopoly capital BS.
Than start afresh & listen again. Didn't you heard the part he talked about the size of the left rooms & you want us to return the powers to those people 🤦🏾♂️🤦🏾♂️🤦🏾♂️
We need a lot of programs like this, my days at UJ were lonely and I thought I’m not good enough to be there coz I spent days worried about what I’m gonna eat, how am I gonna get home, pay fees etc that I couldn’t focus clearly in classes, SA universities are racially institutionalised, poor people start at -10 while privileged ones start at +10. Tertiary education has been commodified in South Africa.
👌🏾Loved the episode and I can't wait for part 2. I could relate to all the Varsity struggles you were discussing and the issues affecting the country at large 👏🏾
This was very insightful, didn't even fall asleep watching this man speaks🤭. This guy is brilliant, articulates himself very well, commands one to listen when he speaks. A real born leader I can't wait for part two. Thanks bra Dave for bringing him in.
It's true, whn the English class passed higher the white lecturer would be fired and replaced with the a lecturer from an Afrikaans class. I would go to my colored hostel mate for scope. I only learned this in my exams for 3rd year. There was a time when u got an automatic pass if u got 70%.This one yr we got 69% or 68% more than 10 of us and we were denied an extra 1% unlike other semesters with the white kids. Our number to 3rd and 4th yr drastically lowered. We were nvr told about moot courts or other activities. No wonder our graduation classes were always small for certain degrees. It's true all he says about the system
Bra David this episode must have more than million views. Mcebo is a beast . What he’s telling with fmf we know it very well . We were entrenched . Thank you so much for this episode . The reminiscent of fmf still lingers in my mind .
Some of us were told that a student can never get 100% meanwhile there’s no single answer marked wrong & no question was skipped. That’s when I knew that the ground was never & will never be level/equal.
Wow! I'm in awe, Mcebo is a special one. The emotions I felt listening to this podcast. I cried when he spoke of the conditions the students live under at tertiary, I was angry when he mentioned how his mom died at Bara. I could feel the pain when he said a South African's man manhood has been taken away. I love how he describes Sun City Prison speaking from experience and he has a solution of what can be done better. I subscribed and liked and I cannot wait for part 2, load it already please.
Your line of questioning Bra Dave gave us the best out of Mcebo👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽. The guy is a natural, he tells it as it is. The sentiments he gave about Honourable Zungula👌🏽👌🏽👌🏽.
I had an a once in a lifetime experience of interviewing this giant at Turfloop after he was released from jail back in 2018. What a giant. Thanks King David.
Thank you for having Mcebo bra Dave! Listening to him just took me back to SASCO days. So does Mcebo speak like this all the time?🤣 when he is speaking to his gf he speaks with such passion as well?🤣😂
