I can't handle the humidity over there, looks like it's still brutal at the moment too! You're probably acclimatised enough as a Queenslander though, I think my generations of Adelaide genes have made it an unliveable habitat for me!

That's was Chicken Wonton Soup,Indonesian style(I guess).Have you never had Wonton Soup before?It's in any good American Chinese sit-down restaurant,though maybe not a takeaway place.I didn't see anything I wouldn't at least try.

We have it here. It's either called wonton soup or short soup. You can also get it as a combination style soup dish.

Sea grapes are great, I ate them in Okinawa Japan. I am sure you would love them, they melt in your mouth and they are slightly salty, very fresh taste.

Haha, it's just wonton soup! Very common in Australia as well. Hardly unappetising... my local Chinese place does a lovely one with noodles, it's on par with chicken noodle soup for me - nice if you're feeling a bit under the weather.

As far as food additives go Indonesia is the wild west, its not uncommon to hear people being poisoned in mass numbers by processed food in Indonesia. That cheese that doesnt need refrigerating, I would give it a wide berth, in fact anything in a packet in Indo, steer clear of. And the mystery meat in your wonton will be ground up chicken intestines and other offal.
