Thanks for this. Stumbled across this looking at videos of Comanches. Huge Umphrey's fan and huge G&L fan. Been playing G&L's since about '96 when I first discovered them and bought my first one, an '81 F-100. Since then I've acquired a USA ASAT Special semihollow, a Tribute series Legacy, and just 2 weeks ago pulled the trigger on a 2000 USA Comanche. I've always wanted one of those. Jake is such a versatile player and continues to be an inspiration a recently as last week when I saw them in Austin and Dallas.
Roy!! My second favorite guitarist after Jake! Justin from Pekin here, front row Umphrey's dude from like 04-08. Seen more Brainchild shows than I can count. Still love that red barn sit in, one of the happiest moments in seeing shows in my life. Hope you're doing good my friend.
Dude! Bryan here... nice job on the video! I always love watching the Premier Guitar Rig Rundowns, but they always seem a little rushed. Yours was a little more in depth and detail. Keep ‘me coming!
Rolling stone magazine is only concerned with selling adds. The music is way down the list of RS priorities. At least that’s ive seen in the last 30 years. That’s why it’s getting smaller and smaller. The times they have been a changing. Kinda ironic huh
DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THIS STORE. They sold me a "Brand new Sire V7" that had post-factory work done on the preamp, it was NOT a Heritage 3 like it was listed on their Reverb ad. When I messaged them to ask what the hell was going on, they refused to work with me and told me my warranty was voided because the poorly soldered connections immediately came undone. It was considered an "alteration", which voided their 30 day return policy. DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THIS MANUFACTUROR IF YOU DON'T WANT TO RISK GETTING A USED BASS INSTEAD OF A NEW ONE AND THEN BEING BLAMED FOR CHECKING TO SEE IF IT WAS ACTUALLY NEW OR NOT.
expressive but not elegant yes he is very versatile and very amazing and he takes that crappy little guitar whatever it is a strat I guess and makes it sound pretty good but it doesn't have the elegant true blue tone of a hollow body built for Love
If Jake wanted a true blue tone of a hollow body built for love than he'd have that. Man is one of the most talented and versatile guitar players on earth. He knows what hes doing and what he wants.
Not impressive when the concept of varying wood density eludes him. He is looking at the exact same body shape/size and declaring that one is lighter because it is so much thinner......nope the Legacy and Comanche use the same body. Try one is a custom shop built and they selected a really nice, light piece of swamp ash and the other is an 'off the shelf' Comanche. Jeez, not smart.
