He didn't literally "take the dive" he metaphorically "took the dive", that was 100% a real punch and a real knock out HOWEVER it was set up in the way he let him do it, it was pre planned. He clearly drops his guard for it.

People refuse to admit woodley got KO’d. Jake set it up earlier in the fight and I honestly can’t stand the dude. He went low and woodley dropped his hands like before, and then came over top. One of the oldest tricks in the book. That KO was clean too, you could see the sweat on Woodley run from that KO Lmfao. We all saw what happened when he fought a real boxer though.

People saw Woodley as MMA's hope, its last chance to shut the annoying younger brother (boxing) up and show that MMA is superior once and for all. They needed that pride/ego boost after Askren got knocked out. People in the community hated Woodley, but overnight turned into his biggest fan when it was announced lol. Then he lost and they turned on him again hahaha. I never liked the dude personally, but the way people invested all of their pride into this man, put it all on his shoulders, was wild.

Tyron uses hands, feet, elbows grapples he literally took away half of his muscle memory. Oh btw he fought Tommy Fury and he lost. Kir he didn’t train for him is all. It don’t matter how good of a fighter you used to be, if you aren’t in the gym practicing then somebody who is on steroids and has been training non stop is gonna be able to put up a good fight
