He's so clean cut that they don't suit him. They would suit his eldest brother much more. The leaf earing looks ridiculous as well on him. This image hes trying to portray doesnt match his personality. But man is he a joy to watch

Everytime I see this kid run, I get goosebumps... he has matured so much and control every single race that he runs. Full of confidence. Jakob is a stella athlete and role model . All the best for 2022 and beyond.
I think he is a cross between Jim Ryan and Steve Ovett. Ovett used to wave to crowds and set PBs as often as Jakob. pb=personal best. Or Jakob sets pbs as often as Ovett did. Jim Ryan also front ran from the gun. Seb was WR holder at 800m and 1000m. I do don't think Jakob has that speed. Seb at his best could have challenged Jakob.
Lost here in Belgrade 2022 world indoor championships and in Eugene 2022 outdoor world championships. How could he be compared to the GREAT Hicham El Gerouj? The 4 times in a ROW world champ!🐐
@@pete5691 Grait, but not grait enagh. Jakob have not that good record, but Jakob hasn't run a mile indoor, but this video show him on 1500, with the World record. I guess Jacob not will run the Mile for years, but consentrate about one thing, to run 1500 in the WC, and become the first ever who run under 3.30 indoor!
This guy is one of, if not THE, most talented runners I've ever seen. I mean the only guys I really compare against him in terms of just being a complete beast are Emil Zatopek (probably the overall greatest runner humanity ever produced to this point), and Paavo Nurmi. They both were immensely talented and pretty unique, Zatopek in particular... like when he decided to run his first ever marathon in the Helsinki games and decimated the entire field and even had a pace so quick that Jim Peters basically fucking died trying to keep up. Jakob is that level of talent, and he's young, he's going to get better and better and could go down as the best ever. I've already said he'd take down the 1mile if he chooses to, so we shall see.
You are absolutely 💯 % correct! Hicham El Guerrouj ran in a different era. New technologies, advanced nutrition, and different running surfaces have to be considered when trying to compare runners of different eras.
@@Potatocat_ a combination of what you wrote , but passion , determination and hard work will bring Jakob to the top. He don't need to set new records everytime he runs , that's impossible. Give him 3-5 years... then he can start to run for the records
Most world records require pacers, you could say the same thing about any of Hicham’s records. Not to mention it’s indoor where there is almost no wind to break, it’s just pacing
As far as I'm concerned using a pace maker is cheating, if you can't beat a record without help then you didn't break it, imagine if we started allowing help in other sports?
How is pacemakers cheating? It just lets you know the speed you have to run to make it. High jumpers and pole vaulters know how high they have to jump as well. They don’t jump blind and hope the bar was high enough for a wr
