This summer, Jamaica welcomed fans to London's largest and most impressive 2012 Olympic celebration at the Jamaica Olympic Association-endorsed Jamaica House, situated in The O2 from 3rd -- 12th August 2012. The Jamaica Tourist Board, Jamaica Promotions Corporation (JAMPRO) and Jamaica's Ministry of Youth, Sports and Culture were all instrumental in organising and running Jamaica House at The O2. Here fans cheered on Usain Bolt and his teammates on the big-screen as they sprinted to victory and all aspects of Jamaican culture was celebrated. What a wonderful way to celebrate Jamaica's 50 years of independence. Here is the story of Jamaica House 2012.

I'm glad to see people coming together in unison in celebrating 50 years of Jamaician independance.However do people remember or even know that Jamaica is a small, humble and poor Island? Since gaining independance it has had a lot of financial struggles and have a huge dept to thr IMF. I wonder how much if any of the proceeds that was made from all the independance parties and events went back into this island that has had so many wonderful things come out of it!

O2 enables others feel the POWER. The humming bird is our national animal, it has the biggest heart per body size and it is the only Bird that can hover and wigs beat so fast you can't see it. The peacock is boastful because of its beautiful but the Humming Bird, Doctor Bird is lickle but it's Talawa.
