I never been to Jamaica planned on going this summer 🌞🏝️🍹I was tired of hearing people say shanty and run down... Everyone deserves a decent surroundings... That island has great potential.... People love beautiful weather...
Do you earn minimum wage, since you are the average Jamaican, you ppl really need to stop spreading misinformation, the average Jamaican is mostly middle classed, and work for way above minimum wage.
And land space are all over Jamaica, why do they believe that everyone wants to live in those areas, I have gone to many places in Jamaica where the ordinary persons are living in beautiful home that can match those, people save and throw partner, so I don't know what he is talking about, but these people just talk and many of them doesn't know anything, I noticed it in many videos when they are asked certain questions about Jamaica they don't know anything, always giving wrong information.
I personally don't think this is really something that Jamaicans and Jamaica should celebrate. Firstly, the government should limit the height of buildings in residential areas inorder to ensure that adjoining properties get sun throughout the day and isn't block by some tall monstrosity, casting shadows over your property all day. The next thing is that these apartment buildings are encouraging car centric culture that many municipalities are trying to get away from. These apartments are stressing the already weak or nonexistant services, such as power, water and sewer, if there's any. Lastly, these apartments are luxury buildings and doesn't do anything to address Jamaica's housing needs and in some cases makes it worse. Airbnb is the worst thing that can happen to a country or community as many countries are coming to realize. I am always amazed at how shortsighted Jamaicans are. It's as if they live in a vacuum and dont realize the problems that can occur or tryto learn for the examples of other countries that have been through these "development" before. Not all development is good.
I love the commentary. It lets us know what we are looking at. Not everyone is familiar with these buildings so you’re doing the right thing by pointing them out.
