Refs can only see from their physical point of view. They cannot see everything. Hence they will miss calls. AI would solve viewing problems. Think of drones flying around the court/field giving you precise views on all the action.
In retrospect Wolves played awful defense at the moment. McDaniels should have just left Lively to double Luka. If Luka passed Lively, it’s a 2 at worst, or foul Lively when he catches the ball. He’s very far from the basket
