Nearly 40 years down the line, hundreds of songs, thousands of sets and live recordings, 100% talented and professional, as intelligent as you can get, but still with an ability to fuck up a song and take 3!!!! Love the humanity and honesty of this band always, one of the few reasons to be proud to be British and be a fan onlongside their career 😊
I've been into James the band since I was 7 year old i am now 36 my dad got me into them.. I remember the first song of james that got me and that was SIT DOWN.. Then I got given the laid album on cassette tape and I just listened that tape until I worn it out.. Got to love James. Also named my son after this Great Band.😊
They awesome I love them really talented the entire band they cool and simple down to earth it's amazing how he trust the crowd when he throws him on to the crowd
This is tremendous - I've seen James live in Manchester more than any other act - unbelievable live. Such intelligent lyrics with deep emotional meaning. Amazing musicality - love the violin / cello / trumpet that often make the hairs on the back of your neck stand on end. A real privilege to hear Tim give background to the meaning behind some of the songs here, which make them even more poignant. Thanks for the all the great music guys :o)
I’m 47 now Ive been massive fan since I was 12 my brother is a few years older than me he introduce this great band to me all I can say this band has got me few the bad times and the good thank you so much Tim you saved my life through the darkest days.
When aliens take over the universe and say we have to enter a band to represent the Milky Way galaxy in a music competition I wholeheartedly beg James to save our arse’s🥰
What is Saul on about from 29:20 onwards?!... "Where we come from everybody believes that...." Hmm ok, sure. Britain is not racist at all, no. Did he forget about Brexit or something?
They're talking about Corperate America the "corpocrisy" then Saul mentions noticing that not every member of their audience shares the same philosophies as the band both in Britain and probably, noticably moreso in U.S. The vast majority in the crowd will be similar to each other and members of James, politically. Audiences in UK are likely some of the 48% who voted against Brexit and are certainly not racist, almost but not entirely, he noticed. Very much doubt anybody would suggest that racism is more prevalent in UK than US
Brexit is about inclusion in the European Union and the effects it has on the uk as a nation, politically, economically and especially concerning our legislation; there’s no racist undertones to brexit.
We're living in extraordinary times and you must be extraordinary if you can sing EVERY James lyrics without maybe making a mistake.. Huge back catalogue to envy and to remember I guess..
