He definitely is! His music since his first couple of albums has not got nearly the credit, success and fame that it should have! Absolutely world-class stuff that should be recognised- especially when you consider what is classed as "music" these days. Under 2.5 million views for his work like Sun on Sunday, Miss America, and Same Mistake (ALL UNBELIEVABLE SONGS) says it all really.
He will be remembered as one of the most underrated vocalists of our generation. He’s a guy that can make you literally feel his music, not just hear it.
A MAN I KNOW SERVED WITH JAMES BLUNT IN KOSIVO HE WAS SUPPORT GROUP FOR THEM QND ONE OF THE SIMITER TANK COMMANDERS WAS INDEED CAPTIN JAMES BLUNT. HES USED TO STRAP HIS GUITAR ON THE SIDE OF THE TANK. HE USED TO SIT WITH THE TROOPS THEY ALL CALLED HIM BOSS PROPER SQUADDIE AT HEART GOD BLESS YOU JAMES SIR
What a fantastic talent this man has. Brilliant songwriter and a voice that is so clear. He doesn't just sing the song, he performs it and makes the audience believe in every word. He seems such a nice person, as well. A rare combination in today's music business.
godfred bedu The emotion in his songs, in his voice, in his amazing live performances are all REAL. It is the emotion we feel that makes it real. I've been a big fan since the very beginning but never got to see James live....then a few years ago the opportunity finally came to see him in Reno, NV. The MoonLanding tour. It truly was one of the very few great live performances I've ever seen. It is the emotion you feel from the music & the artist that carries from his/her heart directly to yours that makes an artist great. James is one of the greats for sure, even if he is so disregarded by the majority of media. If you are passionate about music, you know what I mean. His show will remain one of the best I've ever been to. I hope I get to see him again, just once more before I die. If not, I still have that rich memory of the show I did see....I can still feel his energy as I did that night, he brushed my hand when he ran by us on his trip through the audience. It was just so amazing!
He’s so great live. Lucky enough to have seen him a few times and god the emotion he puts into goodbye my lover (and all his songs but particularly that one) is just too much! You feel it all.

Love his talent, my fav his song Your Beautiful because ...I was once on a bus a guy sat next to me with his type of voice exactly no year known. We had so much fun till we parted. I always wondered if he made it to where he was going and how his life turned out. We only knew first names. Its a great memory. Never knew anything else I believe I may have been older than him but all unknown now. I think I may have been heading to Virginia. He wasnt... a lost friend... he could have been maybe.
huma dawii Yeah, I was a little disappointed to see James wasn't heading his own US Tour. But Ed DID help him write some songs on the new album, so it makes a little bit of sense at least.
They are pretty good friends and cowrote a few songs so in my opinion it only makes sense :) tho I don't get why James Blunt wouldn't do a US tour of his own
Today is 41 days of war in my country. Today I have the opportunity to listen to music for the first time. And I turn on the songs of James Blunt and remember my wonderful and happy life in which he sounded every day. A life in which everything was in abundance and I want to think that everything is over. I want to wake up and realize that all the horror that my country is now experiencing is just a nightmare.
I think that James Blunt is one of those few artists that can capture a feeling...someone's glance....anything from those simple but meaningful things in everyone's life..and make it a masterpiece...love from Greece..
I am heartened by the honesty and vulnerability of James in his latest album. It is felt that every song he lives for real. He share with us the most cherished. Frankly, right now I look at it in a completely different look, then befor.
Everytime I listen to one of James Blunt song's I'm amazed by his unbelievable emotional passion & commitment he gives to every song he is singing.. A talented musician, brilliant song writer & unique vocal singer... Future behold...

You were my dads favourite singer, his favourite song of yours was 'your beautiful' which is amazing. I'm only 13 and I love your older music and other people's music. But my dad died 11 years ago and I only know about you because of my mum, so thank you for making my dad, me, the rest of my family and the world happy! Thank you!
I love this song so much ❤️ I do wish there wasn’t as much production on his voice in the recorded version though. He honestly doesn’t need it. This is so raw and glorious and full of emotion. Don’t get me wrong I still love the studio version! But this tops it for me. ❤️❤️❤️
In another life, darling, I'll do anything to be with you We can't have each other even if we wanted to Don't give me those eyes, don't give me those eyes......so magic lyric
Go back and listen to 2003 James Blunt and there are songs from then that do exist and you will hear how wonderful he use to sound, this album is far from the James Blunt most fell in love with. This latest album is more miss than hit.
James sings wonderfully well live! That shows his skill, because making a live performance sound as good as a studio recording is tremendously difficult.
James Blunt... Back To Bedlam was the first album that I loved in full, my mum buying it for me after we got back from Europe in 2005 at the height of You're Beautiful's glory days... I would listen to it every night until I fell asleep and to this day can sing along with every word of every song on that album. Unfortunately I was mocked for years about liking his music and had to hide it away, only listening to his music at night to sleep too... Over a decade later and he has released this album and I am finally able to love it without worrying about what others think. For this reason the song "2005" will always be my favourite song on this album...
Think he's terrific - so glad he's on U Tube, All his songs have a message, not just a bunch of words that make no sense like so much of today's music. Great job James.
[Verse 1] Staring at you naked Hotel room in Vegas I love you but I hate it And we can't tell anyone Take this love and break it I don't think I can take it Go back to him and fake it Don't tell him what you've done [Pre-Chorus] But when we're caught in this feeling And I taste your love, and I taste your love Whatever the meaning Well it's not enough, no it's not enough I want to believe in In a thing called love, in a thing called love Caught in this feeling In this feeling, in this feeling [Chorus] Don't give me those eyes cause you know me and I can't say no to you We can't have each other even if we wanted to In another life, darling, I'll do anything to be with you We can't have each other even if we wanted to Don't give me those eyes, don't give me those eyes [Verse 2] Cross your heart and swear it Hotel room in Paris Kills me that you're married Cause we know that should be done [Pre-Chorus] But when we're caught in this feeling And I taste your love, and I taste your love Whatever the meaning Well it's not enough, no it's not enough I want to believe in In a thing called love, in a thing called love Caught in this feeling In this feeling, in this feeling [Chorus] Don't give me those eyes cause you know me and I can't say no to you We can't have each other even if we wanted to In another life, darling, I'll do anything to be with you We can't have each other even if we wanted to Don't give me those eyes, don't give me those eyes Don't give me those eyes, don't give me those eyes Don't give me those eyes, don't give me those eyes Don't give me those eyes, don't give me those eyes Don't give me those eyes, don't give me those eyes Don't give me those eyes cause you know me and I can't say no to you We can't have each other even if we wanted to (Don't give me those eyes) In another life, darling, I'll do anything to be with you (Don't give me those eyes) We can't have each other even if we wanted to Don't give me those eyes, don't give me those eyes Don't give me those eyes, don't give me those eyes [Outro] Staring at you naked Hotel room in Vegas I love you but I hate it
I have beem followinh James Blunt ever since his first album, his last album was pretty much depressing, but this new Album is like everything from all of his old album, i can hear 1973,i can hear Goodbye my lover, i can hear blue on blue, but Lose my number could be a hit in the future, he should do more like lose my number. just amazing. im glad that he didn't give up on making music. my personal favourite were 1973 and Face The Sun.
