I do love Floris No.89 (1951) a perennial British favourite. On the other hand, Sean Connery’s - and the late Roger Moore’s- fragrance of choice for many years was Guerlain’s Jicky, a unisex perfume created in 1889!
Snap, with the birth year and born in merry old England!. Love the intro with the old currency and the Walther PPK which returned in Quantum of Solace As the sidearm of choice. Brilliant Shave love these Bond themed shaves, more please !
Although I grew up during the Brosnan era of Bond films, Connery is probably my favorite Bond and Goldfinger my favorite film... Or maybe From Russia With Love. I still remember watching the Bond movie marathon every year on TBS. Today we have Netflix, Hulu and Amazon Prime so I can binge the movies all year round! And I think you should definitely turn this into a series and do a shave for every Bond film! That would be great!
Hi Ken I've used Floris No 89 for years what you'll hopefully notice is the different profiles from it as the day goes by right up until bed time you'll get a whiff of something nice, Floris is an old school perfumer from a time when deodorant's weren't made, this is what a gentleman, and the Lady's would use. I personally feel that "Skyfall" was the best Bond hands down. It was a bold move to not revel the villain until an hour in but boy did it raise the stakes & it payed off
Used my 1964 Slim Adjustable this morning (J1) for my birth year. Oh, and you'll need to also get an Omega if you want to do a shave for each movie. Great shave Ken!
If you ever do a "The day the earth stood still" shave (1951 science fiction classic)., you have to use the Merkur Futur (in matt finish). That one somehow reminds me off "Gort", the robot.
This was fantastic to watch, I love the theme and idea !! James Bond also happens to be my favorite movie franchise ever and while we're at it... I think my #1 Bond is Pierce Brosnan, I always come to think of him first when I hear James Bond.. Also, I now think I'll have to get that No. 89 !!
Excellent Ken, Feather blades work very well in vintage Gillette razors. Sean Connery’s watch was the Rolex Submariner but it was the non date version on a strap.
That's a fair sum for the Floris but you have to remember Ken...Bond probably had an expense account lol. I worked on ships for a number of years and visited Ocho Rios more times than I can count. Beyond the fact that Jamaica was used extensively for "Dr No" where the ship would dock was right next to the so-called "James Bond Pier" (actually the Reynolds Pier, but re-named in honor of the movie connection"). It was tied into a Bauxite mine, and that was used for exteriors of Dr. No's lair (especially the climax). We even used it on occasion when there was a lot of ship traffic in port. I seem to remember there was also a diving tour in Nassau that took you to "Thunderball" locations, but while certified I never had time to do the dive.
Great video Sean Connery is has down the best Bond but I liked all the others too..Roger Moore would be my next choice he was the one I grew up watching in new releases.. thanks for sharing 👍

Really only one true James Bond, Sean Connery.. Roger Moore was great as Simon Templar(The Saint)but not so much as JB, even though he made more Bond movies than anyone else. Oh well, they're all good. Nice tribute shave with the extra scenes, thanks. Amazing old Gillettes, still perform like new. Great video and chat Ken. Enjoy!

Awesome stuff! Definitely one of my favorite Bond films. One of my favorite video game series, Metal Gear Solid, makes a ton of 007 references particularly references to Dr. No and Goldfinger. 👍
Great shave Ken. I personally liked Timothy Dalton and Pierce Brosnan myself and my favorite one that Daniel Craig done was Skyfall. You will need a straight razor for that one. Speaking of Skyfall, Albert Finney who play the game keeper in that movies passed away today at the age of 82.
Ken, great shave like always. I'm also a Bond fan. On a sad note, Eunice Gayson, the woman at the Bacarat table in Dr. No passed away in June of 1918. She was in her eighties. Man.... it doesn't seem possible.

Bravo (again) Ken! Eucris aftershave by Geo Trumper is mentioned in one of the Bond novels (OHMSS I think). It’s still made, and it’s nice. There is a Eucris shaving cream too. Just a thought for a future Bond-themed shave...

Just a small correction: in the scene where Bond shoots the professor, he isn’t using his PPK. I believe it’s a Colt of some kind. (Usually I wouldn’t correct someone on something like that, but from one Bond fan to another I felt like I had to say something haha)

Great vid Ken! I was wondering if you’ve ever tried the Personna Double II razor? It’s a vintage cartridge razor with a DE style head. Would like to know your thoughts and what you would think about it being used as a travel razor especially if you’re flying somewhere.
In backarrat u r shooting for a 9 as the best hand u can make. 8 or 9 is a natural and ends the game. It’s actually quite easy game to play once u learn the game.
Heh you're not only one that fanatic about James Bone movies I have almost all of the dvds and seen all of 25 of them but prefer Sean Connery and Roger Moore the best.
I have only seen a couple of the newer bonds, but you are making me crave them. I may have to get on it and watch them. Maybe start one after work today. I think they are on crave... At least I hope so. Do have have any recommendations of which one to start with? Or should I just go with the first one made and go in order?
