Yes MJ spoke many many times about how much James Brown inspired him, even as a little boy his mum would wake him up and call him to watch the TV when James Brown came on. He worshipped him and was heartbroken when he attended his funeral. X

Again, not a moonwalk but it was superb dancing by the Godfather of soul. There will never be another Godfather. We all missed you down here my brother. Rest in power. You made the black communities proud to be black worldwide, when you released say it loud, I am black and I am proud. I remember when we all started wearing the Fros with pride. What Michael Jackson had taught to him by a pro is called he "Slide" but he thought the cooler name was the "moonwalk" so he mislabeled it and the rest is twisted history. Great to watch but what MJ popularized is the slide. Go to the video labelled first MJ moonwalk and the dance instructor will verify if.

By mistake, Bill Bailey presented the stepback, Michael Jackson was inspired, revolutionized and created the Moonwalk. Moonwalk is not just the stepback, it's a set of movements, walking backwards, turning around and stopping on tiptoe, that's the moonwalk.

No mention of Jeffrey Daniels here. The guy who showed Mike the backslide as it was called before Mike turned it into the moonwalk.

Definitely some of those steps have similar elements to Michael Jackson’s Moonwalk. Both he and Brown have killer foot work.

“REAL TALENT.” NATURAL. NOT! “MANUFACTURED.” FACTS. And look at the “ENERGY” of the crowd. “NOT” A BUNCH OF HATERS. DIFFERENT ERA, DIFFERENT TIMES. A DIFFERENT GENERATION.👍🏾
