What a great song to react to Dani... For one young white teen from the suburbs back in the day, James Brown was a otherworldly revelation back in the day! And, indeed, it was black American music, more than any other single source, that inspired the Brit music "invasion" of the 60s.
Great reaction Dani to The Godfather of Soul! I remember this performance on Ed Sullivan when I was just a teenager. You should react to James Brown and Luciano Pavaroti singing to James' hit, It's a Man's, Man's, Man's World. It is truly amazing! Best wishes Dani!
I have been one of Mr. Brown’s biggest fan since 1968 when I was 12. I saw him about 100 times in concert until 2005 and I have all his records of mayhem a few times and all that good stuff. A couple of points. He was 33 years old hair. And the reason you didn’t see a split is because for some reason after 1965 until 1972 he did virtually no splits. They were a different stories about why this is, but it’s never been fully explained. If you look at any concerts on RU-vid between those years, you won’t see one split the only time I’ve seen him do a split during that period was 1970 on the Flip Wilson show. In 1972 he started doing splits again and about 1979. He started really doing them quite a bit. I saw him at the rock clubs in New York City about 25 times between 1979 and 1983 and sometimes he would do upwards of 10 splits and one show. And he was 46 to 50 years old during that time. Please react to a lot more James Brown. I love your enthusiasm.
My oldest brother was a fan of the late James Brown. I liked this song and a couple of others ok. Good reaction. I kind of grew up hearing alot of different groups in my heyday. From the Beatles, Dave Clark Five, The Kinks, Chuck Berry, Stevie Wonder and more. And some of the Jackson 5 , Elvis, Diana Ross & Supremes and the list goes on. I didn't have any favorites. I just had alot I learned to like. But it's good listening to the oldies with your reactions miss Dani.
