This is why Jimmy is called :The hardest working man in show business". I appreciate the effort that went into making this montage. RIP Mr. Dynamite, GFOS, James Brown!
Man, ain't nothing changed. I just turned 68 years old yesterday. I saw James Brown as a child in his prime in the mid 60's. Loved him then, love him now, still. I am a full time musician, educator and composer over 25 years. Without the slightest question or doubt he was my 1st main influence. I literally have my baby book from 1955 and I show it to my private piano and voice students. In the book it says.....Gregory might want to be a musician when he grow up, he can recognize any type of sound that has rhythm. In parenthesis it says (9 months). That's the age I was when my Mom said that. I didn't pursue music full time until 40 years of age, I only dabbled in it. James Brown's music and many others kept me positive my entire life. It literally is like medicine to my soul and spirit. RIP King James.
Respect to you💯, I’m a musician myself and Mr. Brown’s music has been a big part of me learning how to play for some years, I’m only 20 but I got soul when it comes down to playing music and making these videos🪩
EVERY BEAT WRITTIN AND COMPOSED BY KING JAMES THE GOD FATHER OF SOUL, NEVER FORGET THAT!!!!!!!! ALSO, BARRY WHITE AND ISAAC HAYES WERE WRITTERS, PERDUCERS AND COMPOSERS OF MOST THEIR MUSIC
The syncopation on this song is off the chain. And the simplicity of the bassline shows you as a musician that committing to a simple part will make a song breathe and move people.

One thing I’ve noticed is that his legs in one clip are like really skinny and then in another clip his legs look super buffed up. Idk if its just the outfits or what.
I’m not sure, i know that back in the mid 60s he was small all the way up to the mid 80s then he started to gain some weight during the 90s then around the early 2000s he started to get smaller again but some of his outfits definitely fitted different than another like the jumpsuits were fitted, some suits he had was a slim fit but the older he got it wasn’t too much of tight clothing it was more like colorful suits.
